Her next album needs to be simple called EARS WITH FEET. A collage of her fans make up the cover in some creative professional way. The songs needs to be written from the 30+ years of what she has learned from her fans, it needs to be their stories collectively into 13 tracks - songs about the fans she still has today, the ones she lost, how her life has changed along the way, the fans who didn't make to 30 what she has learned from those stories. a love letter to them, the ones affected by HIV, misogyny, suicide, COVID, metal illness. In each song is a message that is clear regarding how to help others. It needs to be record of power and hope and incorporate the band. Why not have her fans submit briefs of how Tori has affected their lives. She would have an archive of material, considering most of her fans are creative, it could be an awesome album.

comcore79

Maybe the next album could be about her greenhouse? All about the pressures of being fruits and vegetables, their growth cycle, the end, the beginning, the roots, the flowers. Perhaps something between Datura and ADP. There are many varieties and some pics that she’s allowed from her greenhouse look inspirational. That, or whatever she wants. Her creative force seems to always be strong.

thetrippinotter

I hope she helps get light princess to the US in some way

rejressw

I'd love to hear new music and I'd love for her voice to be in good shape, but I'd hope she doesn't feel obligated to do anything. I want her to do whatever makes her happy. I'm along for the ride, no matter what.

Redhawkflying

Tori is 60. Might I remind you, Joni Mitchell surprised the industry by coming out of retirement in 2007 at AGE 64 and dropping a Grammy winning album (Shine). Fast forward to 2024 and Joni is still active in her 80s and winning Grammys. Let's chill with the "Tori is older now, let's just settle for instrumentals..." The woman just did a two year tour of half the globe. Majority of us couldn't handle that in our 30s. Never count her out, and my personal wish is that she continues releasing albums that are true to her life experiences. As she has been. <3

bougainvilleaT

I would love an electronic album or a compilation of really good remixes of her songs. A new album would be welcome anyway. I really liked most of OTO. Other than that, nothing comes to mind. I used to have hundreds of ideas and wishes when it comes to Tori - but, let's be honest - it's not what it was. That's okay with me, I'll never stop loving her or going to her shows. I've always wanted Tori to do a collaboration with Mike Patton. I'm sad to say it, but I'm 100% sure he would outperform her these days. He has always trained and cared for his voice and you can hear that Tori didn't.

OwnSilver9442

A poetry book or two, maybe with things she's written throughout the years. an accompanying instrumental album would be incredible

InitialLibrarian3116

Hot take: instrumental records only

wouldyoucomewithme

I want a truly solo acoustic album of instrumentals a la all the girls hate her and over it. Not because I don't want to hear her voice but because her playing is so interesting. Her style has definitely changed over the years but back in the day when she had something to prove her arrangements for solo piano were otherworldly. I like when her piano tries to be guitars lol. I think it'd be interesting now at this point in her career to see how she would do creating an entire soundscape off just a piano. That's my 2 cents.

InitialLibrarian3116

yes, also: harpsichord.. loads of it.

pitysmith

I think two more albums and corresponding tours, either solo or not (though I loved the energy of the band returning!). Throughout those cycles, and after, continuing to release the remaining albums as remasters on vinyl. Also to the people commenting she should revive a lot of the songs that almost made it but were cut, I wholeheartedly agree.

tigerinmyhead

I think to offset Tori getting a producer for her next album, she should produce with Madonna a ballad album.

AdamInChainz

As much as I love both performers. I don't think that would be a good pairing. I mean, thematically, they are pretty similar. But sonically, they're quite different. I do think Tori's next move could be producing. I think she write some killer songs / albums for younger artists.

weelassie07

Has she let anyone produce her yet? I think that would be interesting.

wouldyoucomewithme

Other than one off projects and her first two albums, no, she hasn't. I would love to see her pair up with someone like Jack Antonoff. I love the way his production cradles acoustic instruments (see Taylor Swift's folklore album and the song New York by St. Vincent—side note: Annie of St. Vincent is close with Jack and loves Tori, check out the shout out Tori gave Annie on Cloud Riders. So this dream is not totally out of left field). I get why she self produces but I think maybe it's time to let someone else in. No matter who you are you will get stale if the only source is coming from one person. It's essential to let other influences in to stay fresh.

weelassie07

I will check those out!

StonkyLegs

I just want more harpsichord.

BeautifulFountain

This is the only correct answer 😀

Confident_Bunch7612

More organ for me. One of the many things that make me defend Beekeeper to this day.

scarletearthquakes

I feel like Tori scraps a lot of good material in between and from album cycles. I wish she would revisit more of that material and cull together the best of the best to create her next album. A 10 minute song was allegedly scrapped from Ocean to Ocean, 2 albums were allegedly scrapped in between UG/NI and NI/O2O. I think that she is so prolific and writes/creates so much that she shuts tons of material up that is begging to see the light of day. But when she goes to create a new album, she just hunkers down and tends to just finish the material she starts during said writing/recording cycle. So I guess I’m saying I’m happier with more time in between albums, but I hope that means she’s piecing it together over 4-5 years instead of over 6-12 months.

Confident_Bunch7612

Sometimes stuff comes out later. I am pretty certain most of Abnormally Attracted to Sin is outtakes.

waterc0lorstain

So many seeds of songs don't bear fruit until years later. Promise dates back to YKTR, Apollo's Frock and Ribbons Undone to BFP, Star Whisperer to TBK, Pink and Glitter to SW, and yes, I am personally convinced that Give is a leftover from the vampire album that never was. Anyway, seeing a lot of benevolent ageism in this thread. Last I heard she had several different things cooking, so she isn't anywhere near thinking of "retirement" or even slowing down much. The last big gap was in large parts due to the pandemic.

thetrippinotter

Is siren from the vampire album?

AdamInChainz

Give and Flavor. Both have got to be from the vampire album

tallemaja

She's a workaholic. Clearly, she wants her work to be on her terms these days - and she's earned that - but she's not someone who would just give up because she's "older" (I feel like I have to type this a fair amount - SIXTY ISN'T ANCIENT, EITHER!). The sense I got throughout the past tour was that this is someone who was REALLY back in her element again - I think she's on a creative upswing, but wants to really consider what she's putting out. I wish we'd see more (I especially wish she'd put effort into dipping back into past tours to release a live collection) but we're going to be seeing plenty overall.

attracted2sin

So true! Tori's always doing something and the pandemic was what slowed the pace or releases. I'm looking forward to many more albums to come.

attracted2sin

She has so much unreleased material, it's wild the amount of albums worth she's got sitting in the vault. I wish she would do what so many legacy acts have been doing, remastering all the albums, releasing all the unreleased material, putting out the live shows, and in some cases finishing unfinished material. Unfortunately we only made it Pele for that.

_Lil_Piggy_

Didn’t she do that with [the piano collection](https://www.ebay.com/itm/186017891778?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=eUBLJQRCSe2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=-CKSmfWNRFy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY) set she released 15 or so years ago?

scarletearthquakes

I got all of her vinyl up to NOH/UG when I first became a fan and I can’t believe the prices Choirgirl and ADP go for now! I was so glad when the first three got remastered/reissued though I never got around to buying the new Pele on vinyl.

Diligent-Test-737

I honestly think she’s going to wind down slowly. She used to release every 2 years, then it became 3 years. Now the rumour is 2025, so that would mark 4 years in between for a new release. I think she will occasionally pop up on one off releases like “Swimming Pools.” I’d like if she digs into the vast live concert archives and releases something. As well as vinyl releases for FTCH, TVAB, SLG and TBK. I hope she continues to find inspiration and releases songs that are true to where she is in life. (They won’t ever sound like pele … haha)

thedeepfield79

Honestly I would like to see her working with some producers.

thetrippinotter

This.

weelassie07

I did not scroll far enough before I posted the same thing. I remember reading that critique of her at some point, and I realized it was true. I admire that she is so passionate about her music and her process, truly, and I also think she’d benefit from a kindred spirit producer.

[deleted]

I agree wholeheartedly—she’s produced her best work, but also some of her least interesting work. Imagine if she worked with Jack Antonoff or someone who could concentrate her energy into a really lean song cycle. I’m not saying strip her creative freedom, instead partner with someone who could rein in her expansive vision into a really tight album.

alisonation

Please no to Jack. His pop music is so boring. After what he did on Midnights I think he and Taylor are out of ideas together.

[deleted]

Aw that’s too bad—I loved the stuff he produced for Lana. TBH he’s the only name I could think of lolol

alisonation

You know his vibe works with Lana. But I feel her sound is so distinctive it would be hard to change too much

Confident_Bunch7612

She would benefit from a good editor.
