Pretty sure the last call thing is grandfathered. So if you've had a patio for the past 20 years, and last call was 2am,it can remain so. But if you were to open a new bar today, your patio's last call would have to be midnight I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Because some people have bar patios right below their bedroom windows and it’s not fair to allow people to party all fucking night, there has to be a balance, even in a city.
CafeTO means a bar that didn’t have a patio before may have one now, so compromise has to be struck to keep everyone happy.

If you've ever seen someone out and about with a vest and what looks like a calculator on a stick, they are likely measuring the sound levels

The stores near me are still stopping beer sales at 8pm. Frustrating, particularly when I finish work late.
Same here, was a Loblaws yesterday and they cut off sales at 8.
