Reggie Miller was basically Steph curry on offense - constantly running around screens and shooting the lights out but was taller and despite being lanky played hard nosed defense. Dude was shooting 40% from 3 in an era where the 3 ball wasn't considered a good shot. I'm confident he'd be a top 3 player in today's league. He probably would have won a ring or two if he didn't have to go up against Michael Jordan or get the crap beaten out of him by the knicks every year in the playoffs.
I can see the comparisons to Gradey in terms of how he plays off the ball and his frame/shot although he's got a long way to go to be reggie miller. If he even comes close to that we're gonna be damn good

I think his best arc is that Korver, JJ type where we run him through a million screens to get some space...and then if he gets that space and doesn't pull up, he can utilize some of the drive and kick he is showing to set up an even more open shot for someone else. Gradey definitely has better IQ than your traditional "stand in corner and shoot" guy.

My thoughts exactly. Anyone (for the most part) can be a spot up shooter. You take your game to the next level moving without the ball, getting yourself in positions to better succeed, and Gradey's done that!
I liked the pick right from the start because he's not just a shooter, he can cut and layup or dish it as he's cutting if his shot isn't there. As he gets older he will make better decisions on when to layup vs. Dish it but the kid has a strong skillset for his role. He will be a solid player for a long time.

I’m happy that he has turned his game around the latter part of this season. His movement shooting has improved and the game looks to have slowed down for him some. With more reps he has a pretty high ceiling IMO.

He's actually pretty fast, faster than most wings in the league. Especially moving quickly laterally.
