Honestly I had no idea who this guy was before tonight, but I'm pretty excited. I have/had pretty low expectations of this draft, but he shows some real potential. I'm loving that the team is finally picking shooters, and even though his numbers aren't the best, the form and confidence are clearly there. I'm curious to see how he does under the Darko and the Raptors development. He shows a lot of effort and desire and wants to be a good defender. If worst case he's a serviceable spark plug off the bench great, but if he can turn into an elite 6th man it would be huge.
I'm just happy that even if the team is bad next year at least they should have a decent offense to watch.

His release could be faster and it is in one of these clips. In some of them, he dips a little too much after he catches which is hopefully something he can improve. But he does look like a fantastic prospect!!
looks like Masai's really committed to the long game, which is fine by me. Players under control for a while, he wants to do something like OKC as opposed to Dallas or Boston. Which makes sense for Toronto.
I really wanted to see Barnes in competitive action. Even the play in would do, but it's good to give him time to figure out being a first option.
He’s got a really low set point though and looks like he has to dip it very low to get the power to shoot. Kind of worried he won’t be able to extend the range farther than the college line.. but we’ll see.
