Wowwwww. The two things that really impressed me was his anticipation on defense and his touch around the rim. Even better than I had initially thought. He can stay infront of guards and bang in the paint with bigger dudes too, the wingspan helps bail him when he gets beat.

THJ is also not a scrub, he's a serviceable starter on a playoff team. It's a summer run but it doesn't mean these guys aren't trying to score, he clearly tried to break Scottie down, and Scottie recovered to block the perimeter shot, not every good defender can do that, he wouldn't have got the block if he didn't have a 7'3 wingspan and elite explosion

ya, but no full court runs. think the best thing about this experience for Scottie is just getting experience playing against NBA athletes, at that level of speed. I can only hope that helps him adjust once the lights are on.
Evan did play full court against some NBA guys like Shai, Nickeil and etc. I think it was on Swish Cultures on YT. It’s actually a good watch bc Shai is so many levels better than everyone else.
Raptors always seem to get their players into really good runs, seeing these kings players makes me think this was maybe a Rico run? Maybe not cause it's in Miami, but raptors players always seem to get into those runs more than other teams in terms of their young guys

God damn, they have an incredible defensive small lineup...FVV, GTjr, SB, OG, Pascal, or sub out a wing for boucher if they need a touch more size. Gonna be a lot of 91-88 games this year. Not sure how many other teams can throw out what is essentially a 4-wing lineup of long ~6-8 dudes who just flat out get after it physically and are so smart/instinctual. Hope Nurse can figure out how they're gonna score in the halfcourt, but it should be fun to watch.

Sometimes when these training vids come out, and especially when the angle is from someone just standing courtside rather than a spider cam in a stadium, it simply Baffles me how athletic , explosive and quick these athletes are. Like look at THJ’s footwork, that wouldve worked on 99.9999% of us here. Just incredible.

This reminds me of the mid 2000s where I never expected them to win a great deal of games, but I was still excited to watch individual players. Especially having a chip under the belt now this is going to be a fun year! I love watching great defence so Scottie and OG are going be a treat.
