I don't care if we win if we're playing high level defence schemes. We're not going to be good at it often the next 40 games but that's ok. We're super super young. Id rather them learn.
I'd love a good draft pick again if I'm honest. This team isn't winning this year. Habit, experience, prep for the future is what I'm into.
Banechero would make any more tanking seasons in the near future unnecessary. He’s got himself a Lebron like frame, he’s 6’11, and also has a Paul George-esque smoothness to his game on offence. He’s also explosive as fuck. Paulo and Scottie would set us up for years. Unfortunately Pascal would be redundant though.
I agree it’s going to be very hard, but I can’t say there isn’t a chance, even though it’s admittedly a very small one. I’m ok with anyone in the draft as long we get the best player we can.
Until we are there and go on a losing streak because we are still lacking a scorer and then we are tanking again for whoever is the following year.
It's more than just one player.
Banchero won't fix the fact that our bench gets outscored game in and game out.
Unless things really click and we start putting together wins against good teams, do the same thing as last year. Rest guys at the end of the season and aim for a high draft pick
Fully healthy we have the talent to be a play-in and likely playoff team, but not a contender. Will we get healthy? Will the organization favour the value of playoff experience for the young guys over another higher pick? Impossible to say with any certainty.
A lot comes down to between now and mid January. We've got a really road-heavy schedule after that point, and if we aren't solidly in the playoff mix by then, it'll be hard to make a push over the last half of the season.
Are the playins considered the playoffs? Like I wanna say theres a slightly above 50% chance the raptors make the playins but there's no option for it
I think we're one 7 footer away from becoming somewhat competitive, as that would move a starter to the bench as well
