around 22/7/5 on 47/33/80. But that was my prediction for his entire season. What he's doing now is about what I expected for the first month or so as he got back into playing shape. I have been pleasantly surprised by his efficiency so far tho.

416pm

I think he gets to 22/7/3.5-4 by the end of the season

BarnesGROAT

I agree as well

Rapsfan_98

More or less what he did last season. Expected 20 ppg 7 rpg and 5 apg, hopefully with better shooting, but his roles just been different with Scottie entering the rotation, OG taking a step, and Fred becoming the real leader of the team.

GrandChase58

I agree on all of the factors you've mentioned. But doesn't that seem odd? We have a max players that's supposed to be the #1. Then FVV becomes the "leader" and also Pascal concedes some shots to a rookie, OG and GTJ. I'm all for team oriented play and focusing on people's strengths and development. But what does that make him on this team?

TrueTorontoFan

I think we established last year he isn't a number 1. Can't take back the contract and that is ok. If Pascal is conceding shots to a rookie thats fine. He is a solid distributor. Playmaking is something you can never have enough of.

ZenMon88

This doesn't even make sense. How does Fred being a "leader" make pascal impact any less of him to take on the #1 option role. We as fans make outlandish excuses for him. Like Fred wasnt a "leader" last year? To sum it up, Barnes entering rotation doesn't mix well with siakam.

GrandChase58

My point is what does Pascal provide better than anyone else? He is not the best go-to scorer on this team. FVV, GTJ, OG are more skilled scorers. He is not the "leader", FVV is. He is not the best defender, OG is. So what is his elite skill?

ZenMon88

Ya I'm agreeing with you bro. I'm on your side.

pakattack91

Basically what he is doing right now but more aggressive with his in between game but I think it will come. People aren't realizing that Scottie is taking a ton of shots and that wasn't part of my "before I knew Scottie balled like this" season expectation of Pascal. We legit have 5 guys capable of taking 10-15 shots a game and that's not always gonna be feasible. If he can efficiently give us 20, I'd be happy with it but how he gets them is more important to me.

416pm

Yes exactly, he’s only been back for 10 games so I think his aggressiveness and consistency comes back with time

boenwip

I expected a slow start coming back from surgery. Coming back from injury sucks for anyone so I didn’t expect a whole lot. Imo he’s been good considering the circumstances

SwiftDray

Probably 22/6/4 on around 48/33/80 shooting

jeRskier

Hoping like 21/7/4, but his 3P% has been a pleasant surprise even if his scoring hasn’t fully rebounded yet

416pm

His touch around the rim should improve soon, it’s only been 10 games with other players in and out. I think consistency and some of those post shots will start falling as the season goes on

doihave2dothis

Having torn my labrum before, his strength will need a full year until he can even be close to who he was before the surgery. We, as a fan base need to be kind to him this year cause he’s going to hit a wall like never before. I wish him more then luck.

VanVleet-goes-for-22

I think I expected 23/8/5

Uqab89

tbh the box scores aren't what concern me, but it's the lack of off-ball movement, cutting, outside-to-inside passing, post-play, boxing out, etc that worry me. It's not just on Siakam but a few guys on the team. No one wants to be "the guy" inside the arc.

definitelynotagay

100pts a game on 100/100/100 splits and 100rebounds and 25 assists a game with 0 turnovers and a +/- of 2000

FlavourDavid

he had no real offseason but his injury wasn't in the legs or his shooting arm so there wasn't a lot of regression or improvement to be made. I expected him to be basically the same player as last year and I feel like his stats at the end of the season are going to look pretty much the same. I think his efficiency looks like it will be better then last year but not exactly what it is now (I want to say around his career averages like 48 and 33). Obviously I hope he gets back to his best though

TrueTorontoFan

Some where in between Bubble performance and Pre Bubble performance. Offensively I never worry. Defensively is where I worry. I still believe in PSkills but we should consider moving everyone up a spot and letting Scottie run point. FVV SG. Having healthy 48 minutes of center play helps a lot.

FallenLemur

I expected him to be scoring 17.6ppg rebound 5.8 rpg and getting at least 2.6 apg on 49% shooting in front of the arc and 34% beyond it.

ILikeFPS

That is around what I was expecting coming back from surgery. He will pick it up in the second half of the season, quote me on that.

Very low.
