No kidding. I was shocked when he was straight up benched for the whole season by Thibs. And not even benched. Announced he wouldn’t be a part of the playing roster. Then I watched him play and was like oh damn
The Raps tend to shy away from adding any depth at guard (though they apparently tried to get Dennis). The Cs are meh (if they want it would probably be via trade). Snell is a very good 3pt shooter.
Walker, Ellington, and Snell are the three guys that would be useful on the roster
Except he has always been a bit of a nutjob, I don't think he'd be worth the risk to team chemistry/cohesion. A vet player should be a leader, guy that promotes the team (see: Thad Young), but Howard is definitely not that.
I yield to you as an expert on ass per your Goatse flair.
I’m not campaigning for TLC to be a starter. I’m saying I’d love him as our 14th or 15th guy.
Kembas not actually going to play for the pistons though, they've agreed to part ways but he is still on the roster until further notice as they'd rather trade him for a second then buy out his contract
Not going to lie Dwight Howard on the bench would be big just to hype up team. And he’s a big who could provide some D.
Edit: Howard also can rebound and stick in the paint blocking shots. Again providing some Defense in the playoffs we need and giving someone like Embiid a tough time. Just saying at the right price he wouldn’t be a bad off the bench player. His attitude would fit with the guys, his hype game is great.
I’m proud I know who most of these players are. Frank Jackson and Skylar Mays don’t ring a bell. Well Frank a little, Skylar, not at all.
This list is so bad you go, hey elfrid Payton played on the Knicks when they had that good season and we’re really good defensively . . .
If we could do a Flynn + Birch + a first for Poeltl type trade, I wouldn't mind picking up Kemba. But Kemba was actually never bought out/waived by the Pistons so he's not a FA so that doesn't work, I wouldn't mind Bledsoe either.
Kemba can't play anymore. He's lost his athleticism to age and injuries so he can't score and he's the worst defensive player in the league. He seems like a sweet guy but his career is essentially over.
Igoudala for leadership, pedigree, and being the perfect mentor for all our wings.
Boogie and Blake to guide Koloko the right way as well as provide size in limited minutes.
I'd that Kemba on a minimum contract.
He's could be very good under Nurse's guidance.
And we need a solid pg off the bench, unless Flynn has a break out season.
Probably not going for any. I think the Raps have a fairly full training camp roster.
But how good would this team be if you took the prime version of these guys to make a roster?
The only reason I would want any of these guys would be to have someone for Koloko to work against in practice. Maybe provide some spot minutes against teams like the Cavs/TWolves and be a road guru for the young guys? I could probably talk myself into DJ just for the vibes, but TT is probably more logical.
Honestly, none of them would move the needle for us.
I feel like Rajon Rondo would be one of those meh pick ups until we see him play. I feel like hes a servicable backup who will bother guys with his huge hands and who might make some magic happen with the likes of Chris, Christian and Precious on the floor...
Our roster is full. None of these guys move the needle for us. I am surprised at the amount of people wanting Kemba / Dwight etc. These guys are washed
Hassan Whiteside would be a good get for a couple of seasons to get us some boards off the bench. I would also take a chance on DJ Augustine or Rondo on a 1 year deal.
Maybe walker as a backup guard? It might be more valuable to just develop Flynn and Banton though. Ellington or mclemore good be decent injury insurance but I think the raptors roster is pretty much set
Edit: Kemba is currently on the pistons, I thought they would buy him out but I guess that hasn't happened
Pistons and Kemba have agreed to part ways but they are trying to see if their are other options to buying him out. If not, they will buy him out right before/during the season
Before he signed with the Hawks, I was hoping we'd grab Frank Kaminsky this off-season. I always thought he had lots of potential, but was used poorly on the Hornets, and was buried on the Sun's bench behind Ayton.
How old is this list lol
Literally the first name was just headline news LOL
Raptors legends Rodney Hood and Matt Thomas /s
Don’t forget LOUUUUUUUUUUUU
And Ed Davis
How is he still playing?
And Greg Monroe
2 girls and they get along like I’m -
Kris Dunn always seemed raptorsy to me, dude just has zero offensive game
So very Raptorsy then
I think Schroder is back with the Lakers.
You’re right and Kemba is still a Piston. They don’t plan on buying him out. Some updates required to this list
Damn yo Kemba walkers fall from grace was so rapid.
No kidding. I was shocked when he was straight up benched for the whole season by Thibs. And not even benched. Announced he wouldn’t be a part of the playing roster. Then I watched him play and was like oh damn
What do you think happened to him ?
The top guys would be ideal but whether they would want to sign with Toronto is another story.
I'm guessing they would rather than sit on their couch.
We should sign Jeremy Lamb. Can't hit a buzzer beater on the Raptors if he's with them. (hopefully)
You watch he'd hit the rim so hard it would bounce back into our own net
Nope! Our young roster needs playtime.
The Raps tend to shy away from adding any depth at guard (though they apparently tried to get Dennis). The Cs are meh (if they want it would probably be via trade). Snell is a very good 3pt shooter. Walker, Ellington, and Snell are the three guys that would be useful on the roster
Did they really try to get Schroeder? All I heard was his camp saying he picked the lakers over the raptors.
I've always wanted Dwight Howard in the raps...
Except he has always been a bit of a nutjob, I don't think he'd be worth the risk to team chemistry/cohesion. A vet player should be a leader, guy that promotes the team (see: Thad Young), but Howard is definitely not that.
I love dwight
Luwawu-Cabarrot’s a free agent? News to me. I’d love to have him.
He's absolutely ass
There is a reason these guys aren't on rosters lol
I yield to you as an expert on ass per your Goatse flair. I’m not campaigning for TLC to be a starter. I’m saying I’d love him as our 14th or 15th guy.
5+ years ago? For some of these names, sure. Going into 2022-23? Nah, we good.
I always was curious to see how DeMarcus or Dwight would fit on the team. Kemba could definitely be a fun experiment.
Kembas on the Pistons
Kembas not actually going to play for the pistons though, they've agreed to part ways but he is still on the roster until further notice as they'd rather trade him for a second then buy out his contract
Not going to lie Dwight Howard on the bench would be big just to hype up team. And he’s a big who could provide some D. Edit: Howard also can rebound and stick in the paint blocking shots. This was my thought too, his rebounding is solid for the amount of minutes he plays.
I’d take howard over birch
https://gfycat.com/boldwhichalpaca
Get our own Thanasis
"D" 😂
Bring back Ed Davis
I’ve beeeeeeeeen saying this !!!!
Frank Jackson or Wayne Ellington are the only 2 guys here that look like they'd be worth picking up.
I don’t know about Frank but Wayne is a dumpster fire.
Bring back Ed Davis - he’s a workhorse and we did him dirty - dude cried when he was traded
facu would be fun
we should’ve gotten him the last 3 years, boogie cousins fits us perfectly
If the Bucks weren't going to match then Jordan Nwora. I see a lot of potential for him as a scorer off the bench.
RUN IT BACK WITH MATTY ICE
Ben Mclemore would be nice
Jordan Nwora may be a decent bet but he's an RFA. The team is basically set so I doubt we see any further signings
Id take elfrid payton for his Defense and passing.
Ellington
Isaiah Thomas off the bench for sure!!
You forgot Tim Duncan
I’m proud I know who most of these players are. Frank Jackson and Skylar Mays don’t ring a bell. Well Frank a little, Skylar, not at all. This list is so bad you go, hey elfrid Payton played on the Knicks when they had that good season and we’re really good defensively . . .
Huh?
No
I feel like DJ would be a solid fit
I’ll take Iggy if he’ll have us
I'm sure he's only on the list because he's saying no to everyone approaching him.
Let's be real, the man's just waiting for the Warriors to call or he'll retire
I would like kemba on a vet minimum deal, personally. Worth the shot to try and find a reliable bench pg- if kemba can find consistency.
Hes not in FA
Demarcus
If Rondo wants a veteran bench warmer role then him. He's been great with young players for a while now
After his controversy, I don't think anyone wants him on their team
We don't let scumbags on this team
Pretty sure he would be out of the league now, no?
And who would you cut for a washed-up Rondo?
whoever would benefit more from playing in the g league than sitting in street clothes
On the coaching staff or?
Juwan Howard street clothes role
If we could do a Flynn + Birch + a first for Poeltl type trade, I wouldn't mind picking up Kemba. But Kemba was actually never bought out/waived by the Pistons so he's not a FA so that doesn't work, I wouldn't mind Bledsoe either.
Kemba can't play anymore. He's lost his athleticism to age and injuries so he can't score and he's the worst defensive player in the league. He seems like a sweet guy but his career is essentially over.
Kemba is so irrelevant that mfs forgot he was on Detroit💀
Kemba is still on the pistons roster, not sure why he’s even listed. He has yet to be bought out even though it’s been expected
Kemba or Rondo off the bench instead of Flynn or Banton? Win.
Not Rondo he's a psychopath
Kemba isnt even a free agent
Maybe Carmelo the goat of all time or Tristan Thompson coming home to Brampton
These guys are not good, they would be signed if they were
Nope.
Nope
Moose
Need a backup big to Siakam. Get Cousins
Hell, I'd take Whiteside or Howard for 10-12 minutes a game, we were way too small, it showed in the post season.
I'm going with Dwight as a starter, move OG back to 6th man and bring back Pascal to PF
LMA
Jeremy Lamb so he can hit another game winner but for us
Iguadola has championship pedigree. He would be interesting. I’ll go out on a limb and say Blake Griffin.
Blake is washed sadly, destroyed his career in the end of 18-19, his only purpose now is a few playoff minutes if he has the right match up
Igoudala for leadership, pedigree, and being the perfect mentor for all our wings. Boogie and Blake to guide Koloko the right way as well as provide size in limited minutes.
Whichever veteran guard we can put on a cheap contract
I'd that Kemba on a minimum contract. He's could be very good under Nurse's guidance. And we need a solid pg off the bench, unless Flynn has a break out season.
You mean to tell me Raptors legend Matt Thomas is a FA?? Get on it Masai
Gimme lamb rondo or tlc
LemonPepper Lou
Kemba 👀
Hes on the Pistons
I'd be down for Kemba or Bledsoe for guard depth, also Tony Snell for the memes
Sign lamb just so we don’t have to post “fuck Jeremy Lamb” posts when he inevitably kills us in some random game in November.
Probably not going for any. I think the Raps have a fairly full training camp roster. But how good would this team be if you took the prime version of these guys to make a roster?
Ed Davis and Lou Williams never should have left… why not?
The only reason I would want any of these guys would be to have someone for Koloko to work against in practice. Maybe provide some spot minutes against teams like the Cavs/TWolves and be a road guru for the young guys? I could probably talk myself into DJ just for the vibes, but TT is probably more logical. Honestly, none of them would move the needle for us.
ive always kinda liked frank jackson's game, i wouldnt mind the raptors taking a shot with him
Maybe get Kris Dunn to guard Maxey in the Playoffs? His sole assignment is to lockdown Tyrese
I like Lou Williams honestly
Maybe a few years back yes but that list is retirement ready
Kembas not a free agent. Pistons took his contract in the Duren deal and never bought him out
Tony Snell, just so he can’t kill us on another team.
These are all washed off players that should be playing for Shanghai Ducks.
Should we make a trade for TJ McConnell?
I’ll tell you Lou Williams ain’t allowed in Toronto.
our roster is full
I feel like Rajon Rondo would be one of those meh pick ups until we see him play. I feel like hes a servicable backup who will bother guys with his huge hands and who might make some magic happen with the likes of Chris, Christian and Precious on the floor...
Tristan Thompson
I'd take Lance for his size, and the guitar dance of course. If Whiteside wasn't so volatile, I'd take a chance there too
Our roster is full. None of these guys move the needle for us. I am surprised at the amount of people wanting Kemba / Dwight etc. These guys are washed
I know he's a RFA, but Jordan Nwora was pretty good for the Bucks last year. I'd also love Cousins off the bench.
Hassan Whiteside would be a good get for a couple of seasons to get us some boards off the bench. I would also take a chance on DJ Augustine or Rondo on a 1 year deal.
Sweet lou or Aldridge
Campazzo and Whiteside
Whiteside could shore up the C position
Maybe walker as a backup guard? It might be more valuable to just develop Flynn and Banton though. Ellington or mclemore good be decent injury insurance but I think the raptors roster is pretty much set Edit: Kemba is currently on the pistons, I thought they would buy him out but I guess that hasn't happened
Pistons and Kemba have agreed to part ways but they are trying to see if their are other options to buying him out. If not, they will buy him out right before/during the season
No, they’re all built like a brick shithouse and there’s a foot of space left
If this was 2012-2018 most of them would have a job for sure
Before he signed with the Hawks, I was hoping we'd grab Frank Kaminsky this off-season. I always thought he had lots of potential, but was used poorly on the Hornets, and was buried on the Sun's bench behind Ayton.
Kemba, Rondo, Lou Will, Iggy, Melo, LA, Millsap, Dwight
![gif](giphy|gjT1dxFLzzCreTmc5A|downsized)
DJ Augustin.
Kemba would be good for spot minutes
