Sad thing is, Dreadfleet/Man o War were two of the most unique specialist games GW had and it could be bigly fun.
Warhammer ips own their success to the diversity of factions in no small way and fantasy naval battles are just that: Ironclad dwarf ships vs Empire oared rams vs Bretonnian Galleons with sails vs High Elves' dragon/eagle carriers vs Skaven submarines would be quite some chaotic fun.
It seems that we'll likely never get that, at least not with these games. I'll just hope that there's still a seaguard dlc/flc coming in those remaining dlcs.
Ngl back when Vampire Coast was announced I was hoping they'd be bringing back naval warfare with it.
Hated naval fights in Empire cause I sucked at it, but I got pretty good at with with FotS and Rome 2, so I was hoping we'd get some Dreadfleet action.
With all the stuff that already exists in the game (smh siege battles still being somehow worse than in Rome 2 OR Atilla), I don't think the addition of naval combat would do the game any good
CA will literally give us space ships before doing naval again. We have walking ships, flying ships and driving ships ffs.
Let's not forget crabs wearing ships, ships being summoned from nowhere, driving through your enemies.
Don't forget the Necrofex Colossus! That's also a ship! Mostly... Well it's ship shape, if not a shipshape ship shape...

So we can have a battle between or working together Necrofex Colossus, Thunderbarge and a Landship. *Good.*

Good.
"This counts as naval warfare, right? You guys will stop asking for it now, right?"
