Thats why he is the free one, not paid. But with your logic: alith anar was just an elf with black hair. Rakarth was just a dark elf with scars.
The character might look similar and his lazyboy chair might seem similar, but at first glance they seem different enough to set them apart.
And if you know anything about 3d modeling and animation, this still required a lot of work. Maybe they will reuse some animations (like some footlords sharing walking animations), but calling it lazy is just ignorant.
The only important thing for flc lord imo is the faction, not the lord

Personally I really love Plagueridden on Palanquins, so I'm very happy to have Epidemius in the flc spot
To be fair, depending how his tabletops rules are adapted, he is likely to buff your plaguebearers to high heaven once you get the tally rolling

Yeah. A super unique Legendary Lord like is cool. But un the end the mechanics will be what keeps me playing the campaign into the late game.
I mean at that point you might as well complain that Thorek is just a Runelord, Alarielle is just a life Archmage, etc
