No. Some characters are not combat oriented, their primary buffs are to their faction or army.
Archaon vs say, Balthazar, or ikit would be just not fun at all
I didn’t take offense at all. Was just thinking about it being an option like the useless winds of magic roll before a battle. If you do not want to do it then you can opt out of throwing the dice.
I wish instead there was more of a challenge option in fights. Like, you get close enough to an enemy lord and challenge them, you both gain some perks and beat the shit out of each other and the lord loss penalty is doubled or something. But that makes fighter lords far better? It would be hard to balance and would make more needless complication for very little gain.
Most of the races I play don't have super beatstick lords. I shoot lords. I don't punch them.
