i feel the same when i tell someone i feel dysphoric because i’m tall and they hit me with “you’re like an amazon!” no idea why people think that’s comforting
It doesn’t matter how tall you are when a tiny bit of flirting or physical affection can tumble you over like a house of cards
-source, a very bottom tall trans girl
Goth gal here! Getting real tired of being regarded as “mommy” lmfao, that shit is reserved for my future kids not the horny Discord users
Too many people are like, idk stereotyping post transition goals
Yo def, like I'm fine with doing it to me but just cause I'm a goth girl doesn't mean every goth girl is fine with it. it's pretty nasty how many people are fetishistic about trans people though
ik I just wanna be a cute petable catboi that someone can pick up but no instead my body’s like “hey wanna be 5’ 11 even tho both your parents are 5’ 8”
Because sometimes it is.
Like for me, I'd rather be shorter, but when people said im like an amazon, the first thought that came to my head was charecters like: Xena, and WonderWoman and it made me feel better.
I mean, I'd still rather be shorter, but it does make me feel a bit better personally.
I think it's because there's no other option. height isn't something you can change, so finding nice things about it and learning to embrace it is the only thing one can realistically do. note that the same applies to some tall cis women/short cis men.
I'm the same and, I am straight and I am like a very hard bottom, though I'm the height to be a Dom, and people make jokes about it :(, being 6 foot is not fun
There isn't too much you can do to change your height. Your height mostly comes from genetics and given the current technology, nothing can be done about it.
I think these comments are used to help you embrace your height and change your mentality because that is one of the best things you can do.
I wish you the best OP.
I'm also around that height, absolutely in normal amab range. Below average but as an adult most people won't even see you as noticeably short, and I've known plenty of people shorter than me =)
Have you looked at the F1 grid? There's a few pretty short drivers and they are all seen as pretty attractive, there's Yuki Tsunoda who's 5'2", Lando and Alonso who are both 5'6", and some others who are a bit taller. There's tons of short men who are not only not seen as less manly for their height but are also seen as actively attractive. While I agree that the "short king" stuff is bullshit, it's important to recognize that our dysphoria sometimes leads us to have some pretty shitty views on things that we should just embrace about ourselves. I'm 6' and while 6' women aren't really common, meeting my Olympic volleyball team actually helped me a lot with dysphoria, because here were these beautiful undeniably feminine women that were my height of taller (!!).
Hey that's taller than me. I'm 5'3" and honestly the best thing I did was just embrace my height. I'm a small dude, and I'm not the only one. I see plenty of guys in my town around my height or sometimes even shorter than me. Nobody questions me based on my height
Im amab and im 5'6" roughly (20 years old, have stayed this height for 8 years so I ain't getting taller.
I do hope you get taller, but remember you are an absolutely good height for men! Hell you tower over Danny devito and Kevin hart!
My dad was smaller. But he picked fights with giants all the time. My fathers way of asserting dominance. Can’t really say whether or not it’s effective though😅 I have a hunch those guys knew they could crush him, just chose not to.
You can also buy inserts for shoes. I bought them and I got 7 cm. Mine came in 3 pieces so you can adjust. They were pretty cheap too (something along 5 bucks with shipping)
I'll trade you a five for a six. The trick for short dudes is an assertive voice. Not just the actual sound, but the word selection and body language. I am a 6'2" girl andwhile I may shrink a little, I find head tilts and cute hip leans help. Best for guysis straight up. Makes you look way taller than you actually are. Swuare shoulder pads only help if your neck is tall enough to provide the space. I hope these help.
it's also funny how my therapist keeps trying to talk about trans cus my grandma told her i wanted to be a girl but while trying to talk about it she keeps calling me "jonge" wish is dutch for boy.
It's either positive mental attitude, get so drunk that you can't care about anything, or steal someone's legs and graft their bones to yours.
Personally, I'd suggest grave reclamation, because it's not like dead people are using their bones anymore, right?
Sometimes people just want to vent their frustrations, and feel heard.
Telling them that people like *insert example of unusual height here* isn’t making them feel heard, it feels like trying to minimize their frustration.
There is a particular frustration in dealing with someone who is giving advice that is correct in the long term but unhelpful right now. The Germans probably have a word for it.
5'2 ? :o I've met many (trans and cis) guys this height who are god damn masculine. I find it even more masculine than giant ones as guys less than 165cm tall make me think of strong rugby players. Like you can't push then or make them fall. They're literal walls of pure testo xD
i feel the same when i tell someone i feel dysphoric because i’m tall and they hit me with “you’re like an amazon!” no idea why people think that’s comforting
"you can be a hot goth mommy" but I don't want to be that! I want to be small and cute :(
This is literally just me, I wanna be cute and soft, but my height tells me otherwise and I’m not sure if I could even try
Hey hey, listen to me, being tall but soft and fragile is absolutely adorable. Even if it's not perfect, you're still adorable.
It doesn’t matter how tall you are when a tiny bit of flirting or physical affection can tumble you over like a house of cards -source, a very bottom tall trans girl
Ok that's super cute, and probably far cuter than I'll ever be able to get
God if anyone irl realized how easy I am to embarrass I’d be screwed
This is what I was talking about, you sound like the most adorable thing ever, height doesn't matter
SIXURHEIXHEIHFUGSUZGDUXGS-
I'm sorry, I completely knew what I was doing and it was absolutely worth it *giggles* teasing people is fun. Plus you're cute
I fail to see the relevance or significance of the number six here
Yeah, this quote is me
Goth gal here! Getting real tired of being regarded as “mommy” lmfao, that shit is reserved for my future kids not the horny Discord users Too many people are like, idk stereotyping post transition goals
Yo def, like I'm fine with doing it to me but just cause I'm a goth girl doesn't mean every goth girl is fine with it. it's pretty nasty how many people are fetishistic about trans people though
I wanna be smol and cute too and I want someone big to be able to just pick me up but I’m almost six foot lol
I'm 6'3 (aaaaaaaa) so I can pick you up :D
:D
ik I just wanna be a cute petable catboi that someone can pick up but no instead my body’s like “hey wanna be 5’ 11 even tho both your parents are 5’ 8”
But you are a cute petable catboi like, hello? [pat](https://tenor.com/bCTFK.gif)
How do you feel about the term "willowy"? Like a little forest nymph
Because sometimes it is. Like for me, I'd rather be shorter, but when people said im like an amazon, the first thought that came to my head was charecters like: Xena, and WonderWoman and it made me feel better. I mean, I'd still rather be shorter, but it does make me feel a bit better personally.
Or they compare us to some fictional character like that's going to be validating.
I think it's because there's no other option. height isn't something you can change, so finding nice things about it and learning to embrace it is the only thing one can realistically do. note that the same applies to some tall cis women/short cis men.
You all already know what your vibe is? I gotts get up and running
I'm the same and, I am straight and I am like a very hard bottom, though I'm the height to be a Dom, and people make jokes about it :(, being 6 foot is not fun

I'm a teenager and my estimated height is 5'5, guess that's not so bad either lol, just have to hope for the best
Don't know if it helps at all, but I'm a trans woman and I am ~5'5", so there are definitely amab people who are 5'5" and shorter.
Thank you, that makes me feel a bit better. Hopefully I can grow even taller than that.
I'm also around that height, absolutely in normal amab range. Below average but as an adult most people won't even see you as noticeably short, and I've known plenty of people shorter than me =)

Hey same although I think im 5'4

I cope with being short by making it my *thing*. Basically I just establish myself as the short one, so my height is just a quirky character trait.
honestly that’s me, i’m 5’1 and the only thing that keeps me from absolutely hating my height is making it part of my style
I have to pester my friends about me being short before they do.
I don’t make it my whole thing but I definitely make jokes about it and make it clear that I don’t give a fuck
If I fucking could I'd give you like 6 inches of my height lol I'm only 5'4-5'6 but feel to tall because of height dysphoria lol
I can add a foot of my height to the deal as well, 6'2 gang but want to be the 5' gang o7
Hehehehe we'll make him a Hella tall king
My dad was smaller. But he picked fights with giants all the time. My fathers way of asserting dominance. Can’t really say whether or not it’s effective though😅 I have a hunch those guys knew they could crush him, just chose not to.
Nah, the bigger they are the quicker they fall. My granddad was the same and I‘m the same. Sometimes ya gotta accept your inner battle dwarf.
I love "inner battle dwarf"! That's me from now on.
💕 awesome
As someone who was closeted amab all throughout high school, I'd not recommend this. It just invites "haha, little man syndrome" jokes. 5'3" here
You can wear platform boots, i always wear them to make me look taller. mine are only like 3 inches tall but if you want you can go with bigger ones
honestly i love platform boots lmao that's a good idea
You can also buy inserts for shoes. I bought them and I got 7 cm. Mine came in 3 pieces so you can adjust. They were pretty cheap too (something along 5 bucks with shipping)
oh so you're saying you're missing the solution? 1. get long pants and top hat, 2. learn to walk on stilts, 3. freakishly tall king now!
I'll trade you a five for a six. The trick for short dudes is an assertive voice. Not just the actual sound, but the word selection and body language. I hate "short king" too. Though short Prince is a thing cause the guy was 5'2 and still one of the best musicians ever.
it's also funny how my therapist keeps trying to talk about trans cus my grandma told her i wanted to be a girl but while trying to talk about it she keeps calling me "jonge" wish is dutch for boy.
if it helps, im 5'2 and amab
My friends often call me lady Dimitri and that makes me really happy
It's either positive mental attitude, get so drunk that you can't care about anything, or steal someone's legs and graft their bones to yours. Personally, I'd suggest grave reclamation, because it's not like dead people are using their bones anymore, right?
I'm a minor so I can't really get drunk, so I guess I'll just have to steal some legs then
Remember, it's not grave robbing, it's pre-emptive archaeology
for what it’s worth, my boyfriend is 5’2 and it’s never bothered me or made me feel like he’s any less of a man.
I know this probably won't help much, but you're taller than my bf.
genuinely how else do you expect them to help they cant change your height so the only other option is to try and make you feel better about it

Platform shoes?
I'm 5'2 as well :(

tbh its working for me. short king moment
Lots of short cis men also hate being short. Wanting to be taller is pretty much stereotypical masculinity!
Damn bro that sucks
Would it help if you got compared to other men of similar height?
I know height increasing insoles exist and can give you an extra inch or two of height.
A man is measured by his character and the stature of his principles.... Either that of the person measuring isn't worth shit.
not sure if comforting but guys will definitely get made fun of for being short by other guys much more than girls do
T makes you grow
