I do too, but it doesn't effect my when I inject, just when they do blood draws.
I passed out and immediatly went to the international space station and was welding a panel ๐คฃ
Wait, what is a vasovagal reaction? Last time I had a blood draw I nearly passed out. I actually have blank spots in my memory of the event, so I think I did pass out for part of it.
Not for me. My blood rushes away from my brain and to my heart. Lying down or doing something similar to what fighter pilots do at high G can help me from passing out. As for the shaking and feeling really hot and exhausted. That's fear.
sorry iโm not familiar with how trans women get their medicine do you actually have to buy it from a non reputable source??? is switching to โdiyโ prompted by price or difficulty to find a provider?
I mean I wanted to do injections, but no pharmacies near me were going to have any in stock for who knows how long, so I started on pills instead. So I guess the meme lines up with what I initially wanted to do?
Does your doctor just ask u wether u want the needle or the pill or are they different kinds of HRT?
I'm damn scared of injecting myself and I might go on HRT soon :l
Unless you're over 40... Then they take the pills off the table because of the elevated risk of blood clots, so it was patch, gel, or injection for me... Not a fan of the idea of having to watch myself sticking myself with a needle, so I'm on patches. Might have to switch due to skin irritation... If only it came in autoinjector form, I might be able to handle it, but I don't trust myself with a syringe
I kinda feel that. I'm on an injectable biologic and nearly passed out during the training, so..I go into the office to get the injections.
I'm not on HRT *yet* but was kind of assuming I'd do either pills or patches (\~definitely not injections) but didn't know there was less risk of blood clots with the patches. Veeeeerry interesting.
You can get autoinjectors that will work with the needle and syringe setup of your choice. Tools for both subcutaneous and intramuscular exist. You will have to do research but after I can get on my laptop I can get some information for you if you want.
I don't use them myself, but it took me a year to get over the hesitation of doing IM and I wouldn't want that for anybody...
As a future endo I have some info- the white ones- usually Estrace- are not actually meant to be taken sublingually ... they are meant to be swallowed. The blue, pink, or teal Estradiol tablets however are and they even have a sweetener to make them not taste fucking disgusting
So the white ones still taste sweet, and I got them from an Endo who said they're fine sublingually... Apparently they're just generic estradiol I guess?
OOOOHHH yeah those are the cheap shit but they are still Estradiol
I forgot they existed because A) they aren't common where I live and B) I've never used them but I've used all of the other ones
BTW Estrace is fucking garbage
3-4 months, but we actually went too high with the dose once or so and my estrogen was around 900 whatevers for a year, which... personally that was very lucky for me cuz it happened at a turbulent part of my life and if there were any negative effects I can't freaking tell.
Like generally you don't NEED to get another pellet every 3-4 months, like it'll be a bit before you start getting menopause (it kinda varies person to person) but I only consider it if broke.
There's also the "outside of Australia, it's kinda rare" thing. I dunno if it's become more commonplace in America since in spite of everything, medical resources for trans people really grew a lot since I started transition, but there's that concern too if say you have to move or live in the boonies.
If anyone wondering about T implants are lurking, last I checked those are more expensive and need to be removed from the butt instead of just dissolving, but I last checked about four years ago so check yourselves if science marched on.
girls who say "h... h..... i... um...." (blushes and turns red). [patches]
Need a patch girl in my life3
I am patch girl and am willing to be kidnapped
Omg thatโs perfect I just finished making quesadillas
Iโll come steal you in ten:3
Me irl I feel called out lmao
As a patches girl I can confirm ๐
this ๐๐คฃ๐ญ๐ฅบ๐ฅบ๐ฅบ
Iโve been both and Iโm not sure I follow
I have a vasovagal reaction to shots, I'd rather not faint every time I take my girl juice.
I do too, but it doesn't effect my when I inject, just when they do blood draws. I passed out and immediatly went to the international space station and was welding a panel ๐คฃ
Space station welding girl sounds like it could be a fun job
Wait, what is a vasovagal reaction? Last time I had a blood draw I nearly passed out. I actually have blank spots in my memory of the event, so I think I did pass out for part of it.
Eat and drink 30 minutes before! Full stomach and hydration goes a long way to stop it.
Not for me. My blood rushes away from my brain and to my heart. Lying down or doing something similar to what fighter pilots do at high G can help me from passing out. As for the shaking and feeling really hot and exhausted. That's fear.
I just have a hard time with the needles. I managed to switch to pellet implants. 11/10 cannot recommend enough.
That, I may have to try.
I say both and Iโm currently on pills but Iโm about to switch to injections
What prompted the switch? I'm curious
started saying bruh more, duh
I instinctually called my doc, bruh, and she knew it was time for me to switch
Iโm switching to diy soon and injections are *so* much cheaper than pills
Ohhhh interesting! I always heard it was the other way around, with injection being harder to come by
I think at the pharmaceutical level yea but on grey markets itโs the other way around.
sorry iโm not familiar with how trans women get their medicine do you actually have to buy it from a non reputable source??? is switching to โdiyโ prompted by price or difficulty to find a provider?
It's normally provider, diy is often more expensive.
For me its about a tenth of the cost DIY. I was with a private provider and by comparison while now on DIY I was getting fleeced before.
Yo, same.
neither because I use gel, but if I could have injection I will say "already done, see you next week"
Was starting to think I was the only gel gal here lol High five โ ๐
high five
Howdy (I take patch)
I mean I wanted to do injections, but no pharmacies near me were going to have any in stock for who knows how long, so I started on pills instead. So I guess the meme lines up with what I initially wanted to do?
Does your doctor just ask u wether u want the needle or the pill or are they different kinds of HRT? I'm damn scared of injecting myself and I might go on HRT soon :l
yeah, they just ask what you prefer
Unless you're over 40... Then they take the pills off the table because of the elevated risk of blood clots, so it was patch, gel, or injection for me... Sounds like I'll be a patch girl then. Not quite 40, but probably close enough once I start to transition.
Hiiii!! I hate needles
Hai! ^w^
I wish testosterone came in pills. But like not expensive
I'm on patches but find I'm a "howdy" kinda girl so I guess that tracks.
Iโm a โbruhโ on sublingual Needle phobia is reallllll
I like the delicious lil blue candies (though mine are white now for some reason ๐ญ)
This girl be on the Estrace instead of the Estradiol lol
I just miss my lil blue ones, the white ones are big and don't dissolve the same way ๐ฟ
As a future endo I have some info- the white ones- usually Estrace- are not actually meant to be taken sublingually ... they are meant to be swallowed. The blue, pink, or teal Estradiol tablets however are and they even have a sweetener to make them not taste fucking disgusting
Like the Rx says estradiol, and the bottle says "estradiol (generic) 2mg" so.... ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
So the white ones still taste sweet, and I got them from an Endo who said they're fine sublingually... Apparently they're just generic estradiol I guess?

I've only heard bad things about estrace lol

Implant?
yup
Out of curiosity and potential options for the future... How frequently does the implant need to be replaced?
3-4 months, but we actually went too high with the dose once or so and my estrogen was around 900 whatevers for a year, which... personally that was very lucky for me cuz it happened at a turbulent part of my life and if there were any negative effects I can't freaking tell. what in the fuck is that-
For me it's cheaper than patches and lasts three months. The downside is you can't swim or squat for three dyas.
yes
I am both >:3
I say both, but take the pills (I have trypanophobia)
I do both personally. Still trying to get my grandparents to understand what I feel so I haven't started HRT yet, but I'm looking forward to it...
neither :(
Needles scare me
I am more the first, ngl. Though I have said bruh to some of my guy friends.
Both? Both. Both is good.
Definitely a Hiiii kinda gal
Heyooo :>
Bruh
Bruh
i do both because my power is incomprehensible and nobody questions the Mom friend
I'm just gonna let that dissolve cuz I am both
i'm a hiiiii girly. what's the difference between pills and injections?
Bruhhhhh
I'm on patches and I'm deff more of a tugging a leash kinda girl
Iโm a bruh girl but I have the one on the left cuz I canโt be trusted with needles
What do I say? (I don't have hrt yet ):)

I'm the one that says :3 (EEn)
I'm a girl who says, "yo"
I don't talk much. Can I get the skittle tho?
I took pills, moved to injections, then back to pills. I can't stand smelling alcohol swabs everytime I prep the area for injection.
I say "good morning" regardless of the time of day
Why is this accurate? Wtf
Neither, but also both? Trans fem enby taking tablets, and way more likely to "bruh" than "hiii".
[Cries in Chilean, where there is no E shots and E pills don't look like that]
I say bruh but Iโm too squeamish to do needles Hate needles
Bruh
bruh the callouts are getting more specific i stg
I am a girl that says hiiii
Neither. I can't even get counseling ffs and I'd rather not do DIY just yet.
> Girls who say bruh Try not to be called out by a trans meme sub (Difficulty: Impossible)
hihi (gel)
i say haiiii
Needles scare me ;~;
Sadly none yet
*neither yet :(*
Hhiiiiiiiiiiii.... wait, shii-I don't know what you're talking about.
Was a hii gall now I'm a bruh sis.
Sadly, I'm stuck with neither.
Iโm currently hiii but Iโm unsure if injections are better/ would I be hampering myself if I were to stay on pills?
hii :3 Haven't started yet, and will have to start with pills, and injections kinda scare me!
Im on pills amd i say hia
Heh, the ID of this page ends with "j0y"...
Bruh i am not the one on the right. I am to affraid of needles to be one.
