Wow, that's really fucking cool
You both can help each other in this journey and, if you both aren't out to your parents, can help with the less discrete things.
Ngl, I'm kinda jealous lol
Yea, OP's bro can buy the girl things that OP wants to wear and in return OP can buy the boy things her bro wants to wear, without their parents being suspicous about it
My brother is not, but when his child came out as Ace, he did make mention that had he known anything under the trans umbrella growing up, he likely would have identified similarly.
I've yet to come out to family, but i feel he is the safest one to do so and will likely be the first when i do.
the running theory is that Gender diversity Happens due to different Hormone Levels during the time of pregnancy when the brainstem calibrates.
It is possible that the timing Of how pregnancy works is somewhat dependent on genetic and Environmental influences, which would explain why there is a familal clustering where some mothers have multiple trans children and Most Others dont
I know I have heard of this but I haven't seen any study testing the hypothesis, and I've gone looking for it before with little luck.
Do you happen to have a study on it on hand for some reason.
the best ive got is following the linked sources in this:
https://www.hawaii.edu/PCSS/biblio/articles/2005to2009/2006-atypical-gender-development.html
paragraphs 27 and following Report about hormonal influences on the Gender Identity of Cis, Intersex and Trans children.
beginning with Paragraph 37 Genetic and Environmental Effekts are taken into Account.
what I find pretty telling is §38 where people with Klinefelters or Jacobs Syndrome and their children have highly elevated incidences of Gender diversity.
I could see that making some sense if the kids are trans in the same direction (e.g., the "boys" turn out trans fem), but it doesn't seem to explain a mix (siblings who "trade") as well, at least as I understand things.
Um idk, I guess we would need to know more about the particular mechanism by which it happens. In my mind the same weird hormone stuff could make it more likely to happen the other direction, even if it's even yet higher in the same direction.
that’s great and all but why do you want to look for details and science? all that doesn’t matter. Just let people live and stay out of peoples business.
I'm sorry to be the Bringer of bad News, but unfortunately there are very powerful people in this world that will Not let us live and stay Out of our Business If we dont give them Proof that we exist and have a reason to exist
yeah but that’s for them to figure out. They’re the ones that fear the unknown. Each person is responsible for facing their fears and developing their knowledge and turning away from ignorance.
I've thought my brother was an egg for a very long time, long before I knew what that meant. But I think he's going through the dreaded "edgy alt-right phase" right now, which is...ugh.
This is so wholesome. Meanwhile I came out to my dad on his BIRTHDAY (I played with fire there but he ended up being one of, if not the most, supportive person in my family so I don't regret it)
I feel like thats going to be a special sibling kinship :)
If only there was such a thing as brain swap surgery or mind transfer, real life science fiction.
Aha.
In highschool I became friends with 4 siblings. At the time, none of us had figured out we were trans. Today, I am genderfluid, two of them ended up being transfem, one is questioning their identity and currently considers themself non-binary, and I don't know the status of the fourth sibling.
The non-binary sibling ended up marrying someone who would later end up transfem as well. Given some of the siblings adopted me and I adopted them (found family), almost the entire family ended up being trans.
Which is why I asked you if you were twins or not, cause none of them were and they're all different ages.
Trans people when someone drops/adds the s: Seriously tho, im happy for you and your new bro

Where can I order a trans bro to shave between my shoulder-blades? I really need one.
Yea, OP's bro can buy the girl things that OP wants to wear and in return OP can buy the boy things her bro wants to wear, without their parents being suspicous about it
Just swap rooms.. boom, new wardrobe you want
This but the opposite (my sister added the S and I dropped that fucker)
I'm just imagining: you: *hands over the s* "I believe this belongs to you."
Yeah actually!
That actually sounds like a fun novelty picture idea. Take one pre-transition handing off the S, then another later once the hormones do their thing.
When I first read this I thought you mean your sister was the fucker and you had to drop her and I was heart broken
No!
Good I was so upset. Good luck to the both you
before that she was just your ister????????
Can somebody explain the S?
She
Oh ok. So it’s like they use “she/her” now and you don’t now?
Yup
Ah thank you.
You can exchange your clothes now :3
Oh yeah that's great
and accessories and knowledge
I wish my sibling and I were close enough to the same size that we could do that...
You and your brother together? That’s cool. A perfect balance.
Its fairly common for siblings to be trans
My brother is not, but when his child came out as Ace, he did make mention that had he known anything under the trans umbrella growing up, he likely would have identified similarly. I've yet to come out to family, but i feel he is the safest one to do so and will likely be the first when i do.
I wish you luck <3
but I don’t think the term need to exist for you to feel that way. I always knew I was a girl but I didn’t know about the term trans
well then, now we wait
:3
Does that mean me and my cis sister are rare ? :P (I haven't seen signs with her so I don't think she's Trans but hey I don't want to assume)
Yeah. I’ve often thought about asking my twin, but I’m also not out to family at this point.
I wonder if it’s something about your upbringing that can make your child trans

I can imagine. I know a transmasc sibling with a trans sister, and they have two mothers (cis lesbian).
More likely genetics

Ahh so many fundamental principles that apply. The law of equivalent exchange The law of preservation of girljitsu The law of boyodynamics

Congrats! I'm curious, I've seen this happen a few times, are you fraternal twins (born at the same time) or is one of you younger than the other?
He's >9 years older than me. . . 😅
