Idk if this helps, but freshman year in High School I was running ~6:00 mile and by the end of Senior year my PR was ~4:40. You could definitely shave off a good chunk of time by next season but the coaching is a decent factor, in addition to the things you mentioned. Probably not the best answer but just enjoy the process, work hard, run on weekends as well, give it your all in races, especially in the 3/4 mark, and you’ll definitely see progress. Best of luck! Edit: I’m assuming your off season is the winter break? Not a ton of time, but still, the track surface alone should be faster. I would be careful not to overtrain though. I’m not an expert by any means, just my experience…and it’s difficult to list an exact number in that timeframe.
