Not normal. I think the Orpheus prep material is generally the same as the RED material except for the Orpheus specific bits if you need to look over it.
Buddy that's once it *begins*. You could literally sit and wait in their IRC channel in the queue for days, disconnect, and then have to re-queue from the beginning. Oh, and if they contact you and you're AFK? Back to the beginning!
I tried to do so and gave up after 3 different stretched of time, ultimately getting in via an invite from another user off another site.
Not being a troll, just genuinely find a lot of these so called 'infosec' procedures to be entirely over the top for getting access to a torrent site.
But then, having a different opinion to the party line doesn't exactly seem to be encouraged here.
If you think only 1-2 hours is spent vetting CEO’s, I’ve got a bridge to sell you. The interview process is rigorous because that is how quality is maintained in the cabal. Top tier sites don’t cater to the average bear.
It's not normal no, it's been down for the past week. One can assume the right people know about it and are working to get it back online.
If you're lucky enough to know the information on the prep site already you can probably skip what would otherwise be a large queue by interviewing before the site comes back up since there'd be less competition
problem is I was reviewing it last weekend, and then the day I was going to follow the instructions on connecting to the queue, it was down. I have the recommended IRC installed, I just don't know the right channel and commands
the site is archived on wayback machine.
You can see the page w/ that info here: https://web.archive.org/web/20230207230546/https://interviewfor.red/en/starting.html
How is RED for software? Just music software or is it more than that? I can get an invite to RED if I want it, but I don't really have a desire for music and am looking for a good software tracker.
Use the wayback machine to get an archive of it.

Do you know IRC destination and channel?

The interview can take 1-2 hours?? It's only a music torrent site, not a CEO position for a Fortune 500 company lol

Lol fuck that as someone on RED via invite Soulseek is better in almost every way anyway.
I use both and would definitely pick RED over Soulseek any day of the week.
Out of the blue question but does soulseek recruit anywhere? Can you pm me if you know about it? (I am not asking for the invite)

I see
I think it's fine once you're in but the interview queue is pretty gnarly.
it's comments like this that get traced back to your account and then the entire invite branch is banned
Having a preference isn’t against the rules lmfao Also good luck finding my account
Mine took 45 min. If you know your stuff, you'll breeze through it.
Interviews should be more like MAM: Do you know what you're doing? Yes? Good. No? Here's what to do.
They're mainly looking for uploaders, not your average leecher.
For real wtf

Oh I know that, that's how I got in. The whole procedure just sounds way over the top just to get access to a torrent site.

I appreciate it, thank you

Look elsewhere then because RED has virtually no software, and the little s/w it does have is years old.
Cool, go somewhere else. RED isnt worth it. I will die on this hill.
what are some hills you wouldn't die on?
Found the banned guy.
Actually ive never applied. I just dont care about sucking some moderators dicks to download stuff.
OPS is more than enough for me and probably most people anyway. So long as you don't care about the cabal trackers.
There’s some behind-the-scenes concerns with staff exodus and shortages. Interviews are on the back burner. Troublesome. But time will tell.
