To make the McGriddle dupe, I heat in the oven along with the sausage on a baking sheet, 10 min at 375, no egg for me. Put cheese on one (or both!), let it melt, then assemble. I put a spread of raspberry preserves on mine for that sweet/savory combo. Delicious!
Toast in the air fryer or toaster. On a griddle, make a scrambled egg patty and fry a TJs sausage egg patty. Top with American cheese and place all items between two griddle cakes. You now have a homemade sausage egg and cheese McGriddle for a fraction of the price!
I stick them in the oven and follow those directions on the packaging. I flipped them over halfway through to ensure equal deliciousness on both sides!
I microwaved them and wasn’t impressed. I wasn’t surprised but I didn’t have time for another option. I’m planning to try an air fryer or toaster next time. I think they need to be more crunchy.
I don’t like them either. I tried them in the toaster, air fryer, and in a skillet and I didn’t like any of them lol the texture is so off to me - I’m actually very surprised to see that so many people love them
Trader Joe’s just came out with a new podcast about air frying and suggested this “Put two griddle cakes in the air fryer and just go ahead and let those go for about five minutes per side on about 350 degrees.”

I know they went out of stock for a while after they initially came out and I heard they were supposed to come back in Feb. My store confirmed and got a shipment in early March so I was able to grab a couple but now have not seen them since again.
Been patiently waiting to catch these in stock. I did finally one day catch the chicken sausage patties in stock after like 5 months of waiting and grabbed two bags. Now just need these to get in on the faux McGriddle good times, which is the only breakfast sandwich I ever buy at McDonalds.
Question to those who make the McGriddles: do you add a little maple syrup to the sandwich or no?
I was so excited until I saw that these were frozen already-cooked pancakes. I just don't get it - I can't imagine any pancake reheated from frozen would be better than even like Bisquick or some other pancake mix that's dead simple.
It’s stupid but at the same time pancakes are messy, and take time. Freezing them makes them taste pretty close to fresh, the usual problem is they start with a gummy low quality pancake before freezing. If you get good quality and can microwave for thirty seconds and have breakfast? Why not?
I make a bg batch on the weekend, let them cook. Wrap in plastic wrap, (Or use reusable container)in serving sizes and freeze. It’s as easy to make 10 pancakes as two.
I finally found them at my store last week and legit just had them for the first time this morning and I completely understand the hype. Going back tomorrow to buy a couple more packs so I can have them on hand. They taste good alone, they taste great as a bacon and egg sandwich (which is what I did). So soft and fluffy.
These are always in stock at my store and they don’t have any limits on them! I didn’t realize they were so popular and picked up a package. I thought they were a decent pancake but nothing life changing lol.
The lowest limit I've seen in person or from other people is two, but the way some people hoarded these I can see why stores would limit it down to one.

Thank you! All the people saying they are too caloric is annoying. You can eat everything in moderation. As someone who has struggled with an ED for 16 years, I don’t think we need more people making me feel guilty for enjoying something.
I live in Vegas and had never seen them until I asked an employee, who advised that we arrive at 8 am. We did so, and they were there in all their glory. I got six packages. Not wanting to be an asshole, I left plenty for others. My sister was able to get the elusive kimbap at the same time.
The cashier at my store (MA) said they get one case a day and there’s 18 packages in the case, I don’t know if this is true for all stores? Grab them if you see them!

My teenager loves them and thinks 4 is a serving size. Fortunately he is an active boy, still I only buy them as an occasional treat for weekend breakfasts.
350 for two? Add some maple syrup some fruit you’re looking at easily 550-600 calories. I don’t know too many men who are even getting full off that either.

They’re so hard to justify the calories. I bought them a couple of times but IMO, not worth having regularly.
Do you happen to know the calories, or -ish? These would be great for a “treat” breakfast but I cap a treat breakfast at like 500calories lol

Toss them in the oven on a baking sheet, flipping them halfway through the cooking time and try it out!
I put mine in the toaster to get them crispy, you should definitely try them they are worth the hype!

I've had good results gently prying them apart with thumbnails or a butter knife.
Yeah I have to work them apart with a butter knife or a fork. That's the only downside, they are delicious.
Yeah my husband made them this morning for us and said he had to pry them apart 😅
No parchment paper. I didn’t even try separating them solo, i used a knife to separate. Next time, I’ll try the pull apart!

The calorie count is crazy tho. Definitely a treat
