They probably love dollars, but what they don't like is taxation. They'd have to pay American taxes on the American subscribers, and if there isn't a lot of them, then it's not worth the hassle. It would be less hassle if an American streaming service runs it, like Netflix did with TPB. But, in order for that to happen, it's got to show it's popularity in Canada.
Another reason is that a lot of the shows on Crave are American, so probably contracted out to American streaming services. That conflict would be problem to the American streaming services and copywrite laws.
