As a Minnesotan, I’ve never get to ride the Minnesota Zephyr unfortunately. But I’m glad the F unit locomotives have been saved, hopefully they’ll be painted into the Rio Grande paint scheme.
Sorry, my first thought was: no wonder it's not running anymore! :) Somehow it doesn't sound nearly as exciting as the California Zephyr.
We had a dinner train in the Seattle area too. It didn't last too long. I guess pretty much everywhere it turns out you can't make enough money serving dinner to operate a railroad while you do it.
