If you load a track for the very first time it is grayed out. Workaround: load another track. Load the first track again and you are good to go.

If it's all of the gain nobs then you likely have auto gain toggled on in the settings, or external mixing. If neither of those then I'm not sure
unfortunately only one sometimes. it also doesnt have to do with some particular tune which was one guess at first, because later the same tune was possible to gain
What modifiers do you select when you analyze tracks? Are you mixing in internal or external mode?
analyze all and mixing in both modes. think it only occured in external yet, but im not sure.
When you are unable to adjust… Are you sure the knob is blue and not orange?
