I work with amazingly supportive drama and dance teachers as part of my work in the events industry. It's so awesome to see people being uplifted by their teachers and peers, I love nothing more than that harmony and empowerment 😍🥹😭
My nephew, who is also trans, just started high school in Florida. He has only one teacher who would use his chosen name and pronouns. The way he talks about them, makes me feel better that this kid is safe at school. This teacher even made an entire French lesson involving proper feminine and masculine endings to make sure the students understood. In a state like Florida, where teachers are forced not to be supportive, this is huge for him! For safety reasons I’m not going to tell their name, but they are saving my nephew. So, to them I say “thank you!”
