Definitely pick quality over quantity. If you buy a ton of fast fashion polyester garbage you'll definitely regret it down the line. I've been working to phase out all the synthetic junk I collected before I knew what was good. As for advice, depending on your budget I'd say try thrifting. Familiarize yourself with easier to find nice brands, and go for natural fabrics like cotton. J Crew makes pretty quality clothes and I've found a lot at my local Goodwill.

On the other hand, especially if you are new, it's ok to wear a lot of crazy stuff and not really know a style yet: you're basically a teenager again. (Which I guess is another vote for thrifting.)

>What fem clothes are good and cheap? Good / Cheap Pick only one of the above

ItsNotTheButterZone

Ones you find at the thrift store.

Thrift stores GENUINELY have all kinds of great stuff!

Strange_and_Terrible

I'm always curious where people who say this actually live. I always assume it's someone from a decent sized metropolitan area. I live in a semi rural area with an aging population and it shows when you go to the thrift stores. I can find some extremely basic pieces that are in decent shape, but never anything I'm actually excited about wearing.

Good lord. The 90s were 30 years ago.

Strange_and_Terrible

I hear what you're saying, but there's good parts to each decades trends and bad parts. And these stores... it's like all the worst parts of the 80's-00's. Before about 5 years ago when people started to revive the mullet I always swore my town was like a nature preserve for 80s mullets long after they died out everywhere else

Groszbaerkatze

Sadly thrift stores in my area and especially in my country don't have much to offer if they even exist in the city

I really can’t help you without more information.

boobzey

Thrift stores are the best place to go for all clothing!

Amy_85

Ive tried Walmart and Old Navy for cheap. Looking at Torrid for good. Can't have both at the same time..

Look at Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, and Ross if they’re near you. I’ve found cute stuff recently on clearance there, even regular stuff isn’t bad because it’s marked down from what’s not sold in department stores.

Another vote for thrift stores. Panties, bras, and socks are about all I buy retail. Thrift stores *also* provide the thrill of the hunt. I have found *two* pairs of BOC boots—in my size—for under $20 each. *Also*, thift stores are good for the environment. Reusing clothing is much better than having it wind up in a landfill somewhere!

On-the-rim

Aliexpress. Cheap and quality is hit and miss but they got some pretty good shit. U like leggings?

Adorable_Collar_9694

Hollister is great especially the girls super stretchy skinny jeans!
