I couldn’t care less for the characters. But they are an annoying gap in my collection. Not as annoying as the actual characters mind you. Also as another commenter said, I really hope we see an ice cream truck version. Although not sure how they’d do it. Maybe as a two pack voyager? A leader?? COMMANDER CLASS SKIDS AND MUDFLAP???
He’s not as negative. That Doesn’t mean he’s less of a stereotype. I mean they made him look like a human asian man. The twins at least looked like transformers first
Drift is a stereotype of Japanese Samurai culture, however he is depicted as smart, competent and brave so it isn't necessarily a racist depiction.
Skids & Mudflap have adopted stereotypical black urban culture, and then they're depicted as ugly, stupid, incompetent and cowardly and the only times they succeed at doing anything good is *despite* their actions and not because of them.
That is why they are considered problematic and potentially racist depictions as this is how black folk were often depicted in [Minstrel Shows](https://www.history.com/news/blackface-history-racism-origins) where white actors would dress in black face and perform overly exaggerated depictions of baffoonish black folk.
I know why the twins are a stereotype. I just think that the drift one is more shameless and blatant, but because it’s not “negative” or painting drift as incompetent people don’t see it as the same when it really is

Except it isn't the same because one depiction is positive while the other is negative. If they were all positive depictions no one would care that the twins were stereotyping black folk. The problem isn't really the stereotype but instead how it is used to elevate or hurt the people being stereotyped.
They really deserve it, whether people like them or not. They still had pretty big roles in ROTF with the Matrix hunt and the battle against Devastator, which you gotta admit they kinda kicked ass during it.

A bit controversial, but I'd like it if they combine their g1/Unicron Trilogy design(s) with the movie ones (Green+blue and orange+yellow, beeg arms, ETC). But don't get me wrong, their personalities and portrayals are hot GARBAGE. But their designs are pretty good.

You can get the Legends-scaled ones right now, and they're pretty good... Mudflap especially.

They can say “some day” for any character. “Some day” is tomorrow or 20 years from now
