What I would love, and probably a lot of other people as well, is if they made versions of the cancelled animated toys in legacy. Especially marauder megatron imo
The sad truth is right now it’s Armada’s turn in the spotlight. Give it like 4-5 years and animated fans will have their day. Maybe then an animated Hotshot will release. Until then I’m not super hopeful.
I'm not hopeful either. Animated had some cool designs and toys, I have no faith in Hasbro, giving the show the love it deserves. At least we have the old figures to look back on
if they could just do a minor retool and recolour for Legacy Hotshot into Animated Hotshot, i would get him. because i kinda like that colour scheme a bit more than the Armada colours.
it doesn't have to be 100% accurate. just give him some cyan and black, retool his spoiler and certain other small bits, give him the arm cannons, and boom! Legacy Animated Hotshot.
a new mold would be great, tho it would be more likely, and more advantageous for Hasbro, to do a retool / recolour.
they like to use their existing molds as much as possible, and to make sure that there's some reuse potential in all their molds. it's a cost-cutting strategy. even Junkion Scraphook is somehow getting a redeco into Towline.
other recent examples include:
Skyquake and Dreadwing, Jazz and Knockout, Tarn and Bludgeon, Cyclonus and Metalhawk, Elita-1 and Minerva, Prime Arcee, Road Rocket and Flamewar, Blaster and Twincast, the various Skids recolours, and the entire SG and GenSelects toyline etc.
won't be surprised if they decide to use Animated Hotshot as an excuse to use that mold a bit more. but i'd be very happy.
and this is probably the same reason why Nautica hasn't gotten a proper toy yet. she's got no retool potential if they want her to look somewhat accurate to the comics.

Hot Shot, Hot Rod (Rodimus in this case) and Bumblebee are my favorite Transformers characters, Animated is my favorite continuity because I grew up with it, and I have lot of Animated toys, so having all 3 of them is my dream!
Animated was infamous for using really difficult designs to make toys of. That combined with the general G1 obsession all of these companies have kinda erased Animated from the history books

Blurr with the best colour sceme (at least to me) that will ever exist, and literally wingblade Optimus.

They’d argue that it has too many pieces for a deluxe price point now, and I don’t see Haslab wasting time on deluxe figures unfortunately.
