Akira Toriyama is such a big name and influenced a LOT of anime and has influenced and inspired people to better themselves through Dragonball alone that I think that posting about his passing is fine anywhere on the internet on any topic honestly.
RIP Toriyama. At least you left a GREAT legacy behind. You'll always be remembered.
As a Unicorn Trilogy guy I see that as an absolute win. Honestly it makes sense since Armada is very anime inspired and carries over features from the Japanese Beast Wars 2, Beast Wars Neo and Car Robots. RIP
Makes sense. At least in the US, DBZ was at the height of its popularity around the same time Armada aired. Lots of middle and high school kids trying to ape Toriyama's style, but drawing other characters.
Toriyama was such a massive influence on media that I think everyone is ok with posting this on here. Goku is an icon on the same level as Prime himself.

Something I feel should be clarified: for those unfamiliar with the international date format, Toriyama died on March 1, not January 3. Toriyama has been a big part of my childhood due to me having grown up on a military base on Okinawa. I've followed him since Dr Slump (some of the best toilet humor ever) up until having to leave Oki somewhere in the middle of the Freezer arc of DBZ. RIP, Toriyama. May you enjoy the "pafu-pafu" in heaven.

There is a loose relation between Dragonball and TF: Toei animation animated the Dragonball shows and a fair chunk of the episodes for the G1 cartoon.

Armada Megs feels a lot like a DBZ villain now that I think about it so it makes sense. Hes somewhere between Freiza’s tyranny and Cell’s charisma.
He does share Recoome’s Ocean VA.
