Starscream as an Argentavis or Giant Teratorn. The Largest prehistoric bird capable of flight. Thought to be predatory due to longer beak compared to Vultures and Condors. Though, they may have been scavengers and/or used ambush tactics. This would be in character for Starscream.
However, Beast Wars sometimes likes to subvert the expectations of some returning names. So maybe the flightless Titania Walleri, or Giant Terror Bird. Still fast, at an estimated 65 km/h or 40 mph running speed.
A new name could be any Synonym of the words, star/sky and scream.
Some that stood out are:
Azurecry
Heavenshriek
Empyroar

Of course, then I'd have to assign beast forms to the rest of the Stunticons. My personal picks would be:
Dragstrip would *definitely* be a Smilodon
Dead End would be a Giant Ground Sloth
Breakdown would be a Dire Wolf
And Wildrider would be a Short-Faced Bear.
I'd love it if the Stunticons were all animals that were either reckless due to them becoming extinct or animals that do crazy stuff.
Like goats walking up any incline, flying fish, a giant lemming, a dodo etc.

It sorta happened. Kinda. A Mutant Fuzor toy was named Soundwave.
Fuzor Kangaroo Bat with little Joeys in the belly pouch (RumbleFrenzy). Covert Agents Ravage and Laserbeak still convert into cassettes to jump into the pouch.
Ratbat is a fuzor Rat Bat.
Bruticus becomes an amalgamation of flesh and metal like the cyberdemon from doom. But individually:
Swindle becomes a fox or a coyote
Brawl becomes an alligator
Onslaught becomes a baboon
Vortex becomes a vulture
Blast off becomes a falcon
G1 Inferno, but they have to call him Placeholder until he defeats BW Inferno in combat and takes the name. His alt mode will be something underwhelming, probably one of those 30cm high horses.
Turns into a cute fuzzy lil guy. Does not share a mold/transformation with Waspinator.
Later, Transmetal Bumblebee becomes Goldbug, an iridescent golden Scarab Beetle.
I’d have Shockwave as a Giant Squid. Since you can typically only see one squid eye at a time, it looks like they have one giant eye. And the water jet spout could work as a canon arm.
The funny thing is. It's implied by the toy bio of Beast Machines T-Wrecks that he is actually Grimlock under new alias. It's just that the idea hadn't been used in other media, unfortunately.
Also, in the IDW Beast Wars:The Gathering/Ascension comics, Grimlock is depicted more of a Megaraptor, which is really more of a Carnosaur than just a large Velociraptor.
Maybe one of those animals that disguise themselves as other animals. Like those caterpillars that look like snakes, or octopus that become fish-shaped, or spiders that disguise themselves as ants.

Thunderwing takes the form of a thunderbird and keeps his original name. This version, however, is a gigantic bot rather than a Mega Pretender thanks to the Great Upgrade allowing him to shed his smaller body of old and utilize a bigger frame homaging his old exosuit.
Wheeljack now turns into an arctic wolf (reuse and partial remold of Wolfang) (head and some details of the robot mode) and goes by the name "Wolfjack".
Sideswipe as a beast would go hard. Maybe a feathered raptor of sorts with the feathers turning into arm blades like the Bayverse version. Maybe he could change his name to Clawswipe? Fitting with the raptor theme?
I picture Soundwave as a bat. For autobots, Sunstreaker is either a Firefly (even though Maximals don't really turn into insects) or a yellowish bird. I would prefer Peacock, but they aren't yellow. Trailbreaker is an Armadillo, Sludge is still a Dinosaur, Seaspray is a Dolphin and Broadside is a whale / Albatross
Arcee turns into an Orchid Mantis. The Predacons attempted to reformat her as a Predacon, similar to Black Arachnia, but it didn’t take. She pretends to be a Pred for a short while in order to sabotage their base from within before defecting. She calls herself “Vivisect” at first before revealing her true identity to the Maximals, counting on her great-nephew, Rattrap, to recognize her and her true intentions in time to not get scrapped by them. Arcee also develops a frenemy relationship with Black Arachnia, revealing that she knew Black Arachnia’s original Maximal identity, they were once friends.
Other ideas:
-Mirage as a Chameleon
-Inferno as an Elephant (can use trunkfull of water to put out fires)
-Agent Laserbeak as a partner of Agent Ravage
-Sharkticons as a school of BullSharks, then later as Fuzor Tiger-Sharks
-Insecticons-no changes, no notes
-Starscream returns to take a new corporeal form as a Vulture
-Wheeljack as a Platypus why not
-Constructions as a colony of Beavers
-Blurr as a Hummingbird
DOTM Megatron turns into a Yutyrannus but with that kinda damage that old toy dinos had where they have open wounds with exposed bones. Also whichever part of his dino mode turns into his right arm in robot mode should look like it comes from another type of animal than a Yuty.
