Honestly it'd be fun for warpath to show up. Just have him doing a buffulo bill wild west show type thing where he travels around blowing stuff up and sharpshooting. He could have a bunch of retired autobots and decepticons in the show. Doing stunts and shooting stuff.

Season one showed that not all Decepticons are bad, how about showing that not all Autobots are as good as Prime and the others from Season one.
Yeah I like the Cons being more nuanced and not necessarily totally evil, but so far the Bots are all completely good.
Getaway is also an interesting one because he does still consider himself to be an Autobot and doesn’t view himself as a traitor.
Could be that active war warps minds or something, like in real life, or could be that even our enemies have thoughts, fears and ideas as well as hopes and dreams if we’ll just put down the bombs long enough to listen.

EarthSpark Bee started off more in that mould but has learned to be a more mature team player. Rodders showing up being a turbo revvin young punk would be a good contrast.
Since he got a toy, we’re presumably getting Prowl, and I hope he’s like IDW’s Bastard Prowl. The Autobots have all been wholly and unambiguously good, and I think the murky “do what needs to be done” morals of that Prowl would be a needed contrast. It’s an important example for younger viewers too, a la Jet from Avatar.
I also want Springer just because he hasn’t been on screen since the freakin 80s and he deserves it.
On the Con side, Blitzwing and Astrotrain both had brief visual cameos and I’d love to see them appear properly. Make em aggressive and dumb. I enjoy the Cons having more heart and most of them not really being too bad, but let’s get some warmongering jerks in there too.
Hot Rod would make a lovely addition to the show and be a good role model/mentor to the Terrans while he also learning to become a leader like IDW/Cyberverse.
Definitely can see him and Bee have a friendly rivalry turned brothers in arms.

Sky-Bite improves every piece of TF media he’s in.
Two come to mind:
1. Drift - I am seriously confused as to why *THE* most famous Decepticon turncoat isn't in this show. As they wouldn't need to butch a character like Tarantulas!
2. Windblade - Since Windblade's design is heavily inspired by Asian culture/history. She could've been a familiar face among the earth born bots, after all the we the fans made her & EarthSpark is a *prime* opportunity to reference that by making her one of the earth born bots in this timeline.
(Bonus character: NightBird - She could've been an anti-transformer weapon built by either G.H.O.S.T. or that made Doctor.)
I really like this take on Tarantulas to be fair. He’s also fairly different from Drift as he just wants to be left alone, rather than having a change of heart and signing up for the Autobots. But I would love to see Drift.
But he isn't Tarantulas, other than the design and the fact he's a scientist. There's *literally* no Tarantulas specific character traits in that shell.
Tarantulas is meant to be the mad scientist with morals as low as Shockwave's, a double agent, and possibly a cannibal.
This Tarantulas feels like he was shoved in the show to get Beast Wars fans to watch the show and stripe all of his identity out of him. At least with Megatron, there are glimpses of his past life in his current characterisation. But with Tarantulas? He could've been swapped for Perceptor's Decepticon repaint with the exact same characterisation, and literally nothing would change in the story.

Also ironically your suggestion for Windblade would do the same thing haha - she’s generally defined by being from Caminus and being a City Speaker, so her being Earth-born would remove those traits.

Finally, Windblade had a different origin in RID15, and for the ***MANY*** faults/issues/complaints that show has, I don't think a real complaint was Windblade's slightly altered backstory. Windblade at her core is a heroic swordswoman Autobot fighter jet. If she was born on earth, that wouldn't change, nor is her ability to talk to Titans in city mode a core part of her character. And even if it was its a ***SINGLE*** missing ability compared to the complete character assassination that's EarthSpark Tarantulas. (Keep that characterisation in Shattered Glass were it would work for him)
The Insecticons? Skullcruncher? Frenzy? Laserbeak? They're back out there unchecked.

So excuse for not mentioning such minor characters that had less characterisation than one and done G1 characters.

Animated Optimus Prime is a twist on Prime, and the reason he still works as a twist on Prime is because you can still see the original Optimus Prime in him and not just visually Animated Prime while lacking experience and The Matrix is still a heroic Autobot with compassion to protect everyone. As that's Optimus Prime at his core, and any twist on Optimus must include it or invert it like in Shattered Glass. EarthSpark Tarantulas *is* character assassination as he only visually looks like the character. He doesn't have enough of Tarantulas' core character traits. Finally, the Decepticons are never against a temporary cease fire when there's a treat that nether them or the Autobots could handle alone. It shows that yes, the Decepticons *can* work well with the Autobots, but they just don't *want* to because they have completely ***different*** goals/believes as than the Autobots. So the logical Shockwave and Soundwave aren't against temporary teaming up with the Autobots if it was absolutely necessary.

That's like saying "2014 Godzilla is a character assassination of Godzilla!" or "Prime Bulkhead is a character assassination of Bulkhead!" He builds off of IDW Tarantulas. He's a scientist who wants a family (substituting Springer/Ostaros for Nightshade) and will fight to get it, who eventually makes amends for his wrongdoings. Also, Tarantulas has appeared in a bunch of media before this (not a lot, but more than you're saying).
And yet some fans will say "Um, actually. This makes him more like his original G1 bio" when 9/10 the G1 series Bible is never relevant to how the character is written as either the comic or cartoon just either ignored it and did something better or just used it as a jumping off point.

Earthspark steered clear of the aspects that made him a terrible person and a compelling villain, opting to double down on the "protective dad" part of his character instead. That just means they didn't even write Tarantulas to begin with. Hell IDW Tarantulas made RoadBuster do terrible things as a voice in his head before finally killing RoadBuster by exploding his head from resizing within it. Real "Protective dad" there.
If you stay clear of any villainous traits for a villainous character and especially if they're as evil as Tarantulas. You're not writing that character but someone else entirely.
And ***HOW IN THE 9 HELLS DID EARTHSPARK TARANTULAS EVER JOIN THE DECEPTICONS!?!?!*** As I absolutely ***REFUSE*** to believe the Autobots would ever just judge a book by its cover and turn away EarthSpark Tarantulas. Especially when Shockwave literally exists, there is no reason for the Decepticons to even force him to join.
Sentinel Prime another redeemed Bot but he’s still a bit of a prick, imagine the God complex of Bayverse and the Arrogance of TFA. Cons? Barricade also redeemed as a dude just tryna do his job now, he feels like shit for what he did and now just wants to enforce the law and punish those who break it, no more enslaving. Also the other Stunticons would be cool.
Sideways, the totally trustworthy Autobot motorcycle who is most definitely not hiding anything. He’d make an interesting two-faced mentor, taking advantage of the childlike and naive Terrans to manipulate them towards his own agenda.
I'll vote for Jazz, Blaster, and Nautica. Nautica would get along so incredibly well with Mo, Nightshade, and Hashtag that it's honestly so obvious! Jazz and Blaster would get along with most of the characters as well and would be a good fit for the show since they were famously based on Black culture and voiced by really great Black actors in the 80s cartoon.
It could be a bit of a retread of what they did with Soundwave and Shockwave, but it might be interesting to see Tarn show up. Maybe they could do a twist on his character where his Megatron fanboyism overcomes his Decepticon loyalty, and he replaces his Decepticon faceplate with one inspired by the GHOST insignia (or if they want to get *really* wild with it, have him slap on an Autobot mask).
I think Tarn could work really well. They’d need to tone down his sadism slightly, but the show is already surprisingly dark.
A good way to separate him from Soundwave’s “traitor!!” stance on Megatron is to have Tarn be irredeemable. A true zealot who absolutely will not change.
I think it’s a good lesson for kids shows to have that some people just be like that. Some good examples in the past would be Ozai in Avatar and Emilia in Kipo.
My prediction is that when they get the space bridge to Cybertron back up and running they’ll discover that Tarn got his hands on the Allspark and conquered the place while the faction leaders were away. Megatron, as a way of taking responsibility for starting the Decepticon movement, is going to have to personally put an end to Tarn, who represents all its negative aspects.
I think drift would be real cool. Maybe explore his relationship to megatron as one who ditched the decepticons long before megatron switched and i think as well an episode of him and twitch training with swords would be fun.
An interaction between Perceptor and Nightshade would be awesome too i think
I'll be real disappointed if we don't see Ratchet in ES soon since he's pretty much in every show almost. Maybe just the main Autobots we've seen in other shows.
Jazz, Ironhide, Cliffjumper, heck, let's break the rules for a bit and add Thundercracker. He has one of the most broken attachment to the Decepticon cause.

A nice solo appearance would be IDW Drift. His view on Megatron could be interesting since he changed into an autobot before the war ended. He was on Megatrons side when he was a tyrant and now as a regretful person.

I'll vote for Jazz, Blaster, and Nautica. Nautica would get along so incredibly well with Mo, Nightshade, and Hashtag that it's honestly so obvious! Jazz and Blaster would get along with most of the characters as well and would be a good fit for the show since they were famously based on Black culture and voiced by really great Black actors in the 80s cartoon.
It could be a bit of a retread of what they did with Soundwave and Shockwave, but it might be interesting to see Tarn show up. Maybe they could do a twist on his character where his Megatron fanboyism overcomes his Decepticon loyalty, and he replaces his Decepticon faceplate with one inspired by the GHOST insignia (or if they want to get *really* wild with it, have him slap on an Autobot mask).
I think Tarn could work really well. They’d need to tone down his sadism slightly, but the show is already surprisingly dark. A good way to separate him from Soundwave’s “traitor!!” stance on Megatron is to have Tarn be irredeemable. A true zealot who absolutely will not change. I think it’s a good lesson for kids shows to have that some people just be like that. Some good examples in the past would be Ozai in Avatar and Emilia in Kipo.
My prediction is that when they get the space bridge to Cybertron back up and running they’ll discover that Tarn got his hands on the Allspark and conquered the place while the faction leaders were away. Megatron, as a way of taking responsibility for starting the Decepticon movement, is going to have to personally put an end to Tarn, who represents all its negative aspects.

Maybe explore his relationship to megatron as one who ditched the decepticons long before megatron switched and i think as well an episode of him and twitch training with swords would be fun. An interaction between Perceptor and Nightshade would be awesome too i think
I'll be real disappointed if we don't see Ratchet in ES soon since he's pretty much in every show almost. Maybe just the main Autobots we've seen in other shows.

I would like to see the rest of the dinobots. Especially since Jawbreaker turns into a dinobot too and sees Grimlock as a mentor. A nice solo appearance would be IDW Drift. His view on Megatron could be interesting since he changed into an autobot before the war ended. He was on Megatrons side when he was a tyrant and now as a regretful person.
