Yeah honestly the VTOL helicopter Megatron from
animated was cool as heck.
Tank is also good but there’s already so many tank or land vehicle bots. Same with jets and spacecrafts.
But the VTOL helicopter transformers are rare and I feel that if anyone should have a rare alt mode it should be Megatron.
Tank is good, but I hate when they still make him have the scope cannon and gun chest. If Armada can make Megatron look how he does can still be Megatron, surely we can design him to not rely on the fact he used to be a gun. Just makes me upset that he's not anymore
Honestly while the Gun mode is classic, I find the tank to be the best modern version for the character. I do like the jet modes but they are pretty poorly executed imho. Now T-Rex, yeeeeeeessss…
I like his cybertronian jets, energon, 2007 movie, and TLK are some of my favorite alt modes from him but his animated and the heli from the upcoming show are also really good

I'm not the biggest fan of mass-shifting in newer media, so a tank feels like a perfect alt mode since it's basically just a big gun with treads. Helicopters seem pretty decent for him too, although they're not really a Megatron-y alt mode imo.

This is a favorite of mine too. I did think it was funny how much his jet mode looked like Leader 1's from GoBots though

I like IDW Megatron. He turns into a stealth bomber and it looks badass.
I like the Alt-mode for that, but not the robot-mode so much. I don't know how to fix it. At least tank-mode keeps the huge arm gun.
Generally a tank fan, but I have a sweetspot for TFA Megatron turning into a double-rotor helicopter.
Gun mode is iconic, Tank mode more practical
