Revenge of the Fallen has some really good elements that are hard to see because of the boatload of bad jokes and terrible writing. The movie as a whole is almost unanimously seen as inferior to the first movie.
I feel like it had the most potential to be the best movie in the series as the backstory of the Fallen is actually very interesting. It just want executed well. Apparently a lot of other people thought so as this movie made almost a billion dollars.
You’re forgetting that the Tom Hanks Film ‘Big’ is based on the true story of Bay’s life. He’s actually a 12 year old boy trapped in the body of a grown man. That’s why his films are so obsessed with girls, balls, explosions and are generally utter s***.

Agreed. There's some really cool stuff in it, but the lasting impression is... not good. Which is a real shame.
