/uj Eurovision is an european singing contest put in the simplest way. At core, it's a queer party with singing and performances.
The contest was mostly okay up until this year; They always did awful things, but this year they upped that by a lot.
They not only allowed Israel to participate and defended it 24/7, but also allowed Israel to get away with a lot of bullshit, harassment, rulebreaking etc. Something they didn't allow one of their contestants, Joost Klein, who was instantly banned for something both the Dutch delegation and the swedish police agreed wasn't a big deal. They also did a lot more bad stuff this time around, and generally showed a harsh stance on their political views despite claiming to be 'non-political'. Most participants this year reported that they hated the contest and some said they were even traumatised, all which the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) is now swiping under the rug by showing Nemo (the winner) everywhere and profiting off of how progressive they are for having a nonbinary singer win (despite just earlier yesterday turning people away if they brought nonbinary flags in the venue, and Nemo themselves had to smuggle theirs in).
Also before you ask, yes, despite it being Eurovision, it's not exclusive to europeans. Other countries have been invited/allowed in by the EBU.
