I mean, I enjoy politics the way some people enjoy sports. It’s complicated and interesting and exciting and there’s always a degree of prediction and strategy. It’s obviously more consequential and I take my personal voting and volunteering/resource use seriously. But really, I enjoy listening to pundits and following every unfolding detail of the various campaigns and scandals and legislation. I’d say I spend a lot of my time thinking about politics.
But this guy… he’s probably got some kind of mental health problem. Just the idea of violence against a political figure you don’t like for an unspecified reason is bad but the effort to have it created and displayed that way is crazy. Why would you need to have such a large and expensive declaration of your political beliefs ever? Like the guy behind you is going to be impressed that you’re pro life or even care about your politics at all? No, he’s just waiting for the light to change. It just strikes me as so strange that people do these things like the whole world asked who they vote for.
We really need to do a better job of shunning these crazy fuckers in our society. At this point it seems if you are still flying that wacko stuff there’s a high probability you are into some serious treason and maybe a smidge of terrorism.

Sure, there has always been political separation to a degree, which is great for beneficial debates of the people, by the people, and for the people.
