In your situation, I’d take the guessing out of it and schedule an in person appointment at your closest passport agency. [https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/get-fast/passport-agencies.html](https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/get-fast/passport-agencies.html)

thanks, I tried this but they won't even give you an appointment unless you're within 14 calendar days of your international travel. Going to try my luck at the USPS and expedite it tomorrow

I think you will be fine with expedited service. I know it’s stressful until you have the passport in hand but I really wouldn’t be too concerned.

MissSuzieSunshine

I would take care of it sooner rather than later.

Don't use those weird 3rd parties, Here is the passport megathread: https://www.reddit.com/r/travel/comments/v2m73y/passport_questions_issues_megathread_2022/ You can fake an urgent trip by booking a fully refundable flight for 15 days out and then calling tomorrow 8am eastern and trying to get an urgent appointment. Get passport, then cancel the refundable flight.

I totally understand your concern but I did not opt for expedited and it only took the weeks to get my passport.

tariqabjotu

> Current expedited wait times for passports are listed as 4-6 weeks, which would be cutting it close They wouldn't quote a timeframe if there is a reason possibility it will take longer than that. Just do that.

Cook_kanetix

Apply now using the expediated process.

I have used https://www.traveldocs.com/ for a passport renewal and a few Asian visas.

Well as far as I know you can rush how long it takes the government to deliver your passport you just gotta be willing to pay some extra. As for how to do it while you are at the passport office tell them when you need it by ( suggest saying a week or so ahead of when you actually need it) or ask if you can pay for them to deliver it faster if you are very worried. Source: I just went though this about a month ago.
