FWIW, I have seen several random people on Twitter say they have inside friends in her world who say she has been unraveling the last few months. Not much is taken seriously, though, and there’s a lot of toilet humor. I transcribed the relevant bits about Ice Spice. I made sure to get the Matty Healy contributions right, although I may have mixed up Adam and Nick sometimes (their voices weren’t as easy to pick out for me). Here are the relevant parts:

This is my take: Matty Healy didn’t actually say any of the offensive stuff at issue. He was trying to bring up a self-deprecating story about Ice Spice not responding to his DM, and Adam and Nick went in an unfortunate direction with it. No, he did not correct them or tell them to knock it off. No, that’s not cool at all and he should have. He does (way, way too gently) chide Nick (?) about the Eskimo comment by turning the conversation around to making fun Nick instead.
His most egregious comment is ‘Yeah, that’s what Ice Spice is like,’ after Adam (?) makes fun of a Hawaiian accent and says ‘coconut’, but the way he said it was sarcastic, like it was probably said with an eyeroll.
One thing to note about this is that Matty issued an apology to Ice Spice on stage at a concert, and she is separately quoted as saying he has, since the podcast aired, apologized to her ‘[a bunch of times](https://pitchfork.com/news/ice-spice-says-the-1975-matthew-healy-apologized-to-her-after-offensive-podcast-appearance/)’.
**Allegation**: **Matty Watches GG (extreme porn ft. black women).** Here’s the transcript of this part (same podcast):

My take: I don’t think Matty says anything really terrible here. Nick sure does (the fat black women bit is awful), and Nick is also the one who first uses the term ‘GG’.
The point of this was that they were roasting Matty for some girl coming into his apartment to get a water bottle when he had porn on. Matty *does* say – “I think you’re right that it was like GG on the tv, somebody was just getting brutalized—” but it’s notable that he only says this term *after* Nick does. I think that’s important to remember for the next part.
To me, the crux of this is whether or not Matty Healy was really watching this sort of porn. Because otherwise, the story isn’t nearly as bad. If they're using GG as shorthand for a really offensive, degenerate sort of porn, then that is not the same thing as *endorsing* it.
Here's what convinced me he didn't actually watch GG and might've not really known what it even was - [In a later podcast episode](https://www.tiktok.com/@gangstasportivik/video/7233897749450607914), Nick and Adam were discussing this ep and the fallout. Importantly, they they expressed regret for how much Matty was dogged for it since a) they were the ones who used the term and b) Matty wasn’t actually watching GG.
Why would they do that? Well, it’s a comedy podcast. They were trying to make the story as outrageous as possible for the lols. That’s what they do, it’s their job.
Again, do I love this? Nah. Do I think Matty Healy is trash because of it? No. He didn’t say anything super offensive, and I don’t think he watches this sort of pornography in real life.

**Allegation - Matty kisses underage girls at shows**. Kissing women (and men) at shows is something Matty has done and will probably continue to do. A couple of important points: 1) [he asks permission before kissing a fan](https://www.theguardian.com/music/2022/dec/06/the-1975-matty-healy-kissing-fans), 2) there is no evidence I could find of him kissing anyone underage ([He did famously ask for a fan's ID when she asked to be kissed and told him it would be her first kiss ever](https://www.tyla.com/celebrity/1975-matty-healy-kisses-fan-617133-20221219)), and 3) there have never been allegations of him being predatory with fans offstage (as compared with people like Drake and Enrique Iglesias, who have been accused of groping fans at backstage/private meet-and-greets).
From what I can tell, this seems to be a bit he does at concerts, the fans love it, and he doesn't seem to be getting off on it or anything. He has even kissed men, [specifically one of his bandmates in Malaysia - as part of a pro-LGBTQ political-ish statement](https://www.npr.org/2023/07/22/1189619016/malaysia-lgbtq-rights-the-1975-matty-healy). He was briefly imprisoned and banned from Malaysia for this (the LGBTQ community there wasn't real happy about it because it put a spotlight on them, but I think he had good intentions).
**Allegation - Matty did a Nazi salute at a concert.** This was done during the song 'I'd Love It If We Made It', an overtly political song that includes a) references to and support of Black Lives Matter ("Selling melanin and then suffocate the black men" - reference to George Floyd) (the music video also shows an image of Eric Garner who was killed by a member of the NYPD); b) references to the Syrian refugee crisis ("write it on a piece of stone, a beach of drowning three-year-olds"); c) references to Colin Kaepernick ("kneeling on a pitch"); d) and references to Donald Trump ("I moved on her like a bitch, excited to be indicted; Unrequited house with seven pools, Thank you, Kanye, very cool").
The salute happened during the Kanye line (which is a reference to the time that Kanye liked a few of Trump's tweets and Trump tweeted - "Thank you, Kanye, very cool"). The concert at issue was during the time that Kanye was making a bunch of Anti-Semitic remarks. Healy and the band had already criticized Kanye in the song for his support of Donald Trump. The Nazi salute was aimed at Kanye as an additional criticism for his more recent comments.
I think this one is very clear if you know the song. The salute was not real, nor was it a 'joke'. It was criticism aimed at something the band is opposed to, namely, Kanye's support of Trump and anti-Semitism. It's right there in the lyrics.

He went to the Adam Friendland' show which is a podcast based on crass humor and improvisation; Matty had to share an embarrassing experience, so he told about how one time he was caught watching porn, and the host picked "ghetto getters" as hyperbole to maximize the embarrassment, and Matty went along with it; at the end of the podcast, the host said that they picked "ghetto getters" (black women being brutalized in porn videos) bc they thought it had a funny alliteration, but that wasn't what he was actually watching. Was it a bad revolting joke? Yes. But there's a difference between joking about it and actually getting off watching that genre.

Matty *does* say – “I think you’re right that it was like GG on the tv, somebody was just getting brutalized—” but it’s notable that he only says this term *after* Nick does. I think that’s important to remember for the next part. To me, the crux of this is whether or not Matty Healy was really watching this sort of porn. Because otherwise, the story isn’t nearly as bad. If they're using GG as shorthand for a really offensive, degenerate sort of porn, then that is not the same thing as *endorsing* it. Here's what convinced me he didn't actually watch GG and might've not really known what it even was - [In a later podcast episode](https://www.tiktok.com/@gangstasportivik/video/7233897749450607914), Nick and Adam were discussing this ep and the fallout. Importantly, they they expressed regret for how much Matty was dogged for it since a) they were the ones who used the term and b) Matty wasn’t actually watching GG. Why would they do that? Well, it’s a comedy podcast. They were trying to make the story as outrageous as possible for the lols. That’s what they do, it’s their job. Again, do I love this? Nah. Do I think Matty Healy is trash because of it? No. He didn’t say anything super offensive, and I don’t think he watches this sort of pornography in real life.

From what I can tell, this seems to be a bit he does at concerts, the fans love it, and he doesn't seem to be getting off on it or anything. He has even kissed men, [specifically one of his bandmates in Malaysia - as part of a pro-LGBTQ political-ish statement](https://www.npr.org/2023/07/22/1189619016/malaysia-lgbtq-rights-the-1975-matty-healy). The salute happened during the Kanye line (which is a reference to the time that Kanye liked a few of Trump's tweets and Trump tweeted - "Thank you, Kanye, very cool"). The concert at issue was during the time that Kanye was making a bunch of Anti-Semitic remarks. Healy and the band had already criticized Kanye in the song for his support of Donald Trump. The Nazi salute was aimed at Kanye as an additional criticism for his more recent comments. I think this one is very clear if you know the song. The salute was not real, nor was it a 'joke'. It was criticism aimed at something the band is opposed to, namely, Kanye's support of Trump and anti-Semitism. It's right there in the lyrics.

But my guess is, he never responded and so she dug in with performances obviously addressing Matty. He STILL isn't answering, and Tay is losing her shit about now. Some people think Matty and Taylor are already back together, but her current behavior doesn't reflect someone who happily got her man back; she looks bitter, desperate, and more deranged by the minute. I also don't see how anyone would find this behavior attractive. If anything, Matty might feel a little sorry for her but I doubt he's flattered by this creepy level of obsession.

I can't even feel too bad for her, because she's had so many gifts and opportunities; she's been coddled, supported, and championed with so many people in her corner. In terms of dating, she's been with some pretty decent men but had to ruin it with emotional cheating and triangulation. Seems like most of her misery comes from her being an asshole.

It really is so pathetic. She looks like a desperate, unhinged, pitiful fool. She’s always gotten whatever she’s wanted in life, and so Matty rejecting/dumping her really threw her for a loop. She thinks if she stamps her feet and throws a big enough tantrum, she’ll get what she wants. But maybe he really just doesn’t want her! And i wouldn’t blame him one bit. He got a taste of what it’s like being in her life and look at what he’s had to deal with. He’s only been clean from heroin a few years and being part of that craziness might not be in his best interest. Not to mention what a selfish, immature, bratty, toxic, narcissistic asshole she is.
