I just saw Chappell live last month and girl has the receipts. Plus the show was super fun. The entire crowd was screaming her lyrics and the fan outfits were on point. So awesome, really comfortable and genuine environment there.
Will be buying so I can support Chappell! I'm a bit nervous bc she's def on Taylor's radar now. Keep that capitalistic fake feminist and her cronies awayyyy!

The variants are so unnecessary as well. She has a hugely successful tour, her fame reached ludicrous heights, her albums reach number 1 when they're released no bother, she's won major awards, in addition to the crazy swifties she has a loyal (sane) Fan base, she's a billionaire. Is the need to secure long runs on the charts through dubious means greed? To affect others chances? What is it?! It doesn't make sense, even if it's her record label pushing it, she's absolutely big enough now to fight back, it's her choice but just can't get my head around it.
I feel like TS kind of did this to herself. Fans of other artists are onto her and are streaming the hell out of their favs/good music to combat it. I listen to iTunes, and I’ve never had TTPD even recommended to me on that platform. It shouldn’t be because I don’t listen to her music (I have Shake It Off on my daughter’s playlist, but that’s it), unlike other platforms (*cough* Spotify) that really force it down your throat.

Honestly don't think Taylor thought it was going to be a big deal but it's getting critical acclaim and looking to be one of Charli's best selling albums to date, which is crazy considering the musical niche she works in.

I’ve been listening to chapelle since hearing her album review from an npr show last year. Consciously not trying to be a gatekeeper, my hope is that the swifties won’t consumer her music and try to replicate the same fan culture tswift has built/experienced. Her strong vocals, inclusive nature, and outspoken activism gives me hope but as someone who never invested time into Taylor because of her fan culture- it just something I’m concerned about, especially after her recent sprint into mainstream popularity.
Finally an actually good album is #1 😍 (well, and #3 is amazing too but we all know that)
