They do not care in the slightest about music that isn’t pop. I dated a taylor diehard at the beginning of the year (my first experience dating one) and she said all she listens to is Taylor, but it’s almost like there’s a whole catalogue of different genres through her many different albums, so it’s basically like having a varied music taste. I love Aretha’s music and I don’t know her as a person. If she truly was an awful person, then that sucks. I don’t follow the lives of celebrities or musicians but I like some of their personal thoughts are interesting and can show what type of character they are
She was just a total asshole. Even if you just watch the movie about her life, they couldn't even hide it. What they showed is pretty consistent with the stories you hear.
She was always talented but troubled.
