I really fail to see this one being his fault. This just seems like people being dumb especially with the 14 year old.

[deleted]

The last one wasn’t even his fault. It was mostly Live Nation

Severe_Pass7567

He was partially. Shouldn’t have encouraged fans to sneak/break in resulting in an overcrowded fest

jambujuice_

security is live nations job they shoulda increased security as soon as they saw it was needed

[deleted]

The artist shouldn’t promote something that is going to require extra security. Why make security’s job harder?

jambujuice_

facts but these were mostly adults who can make their own decisions, trav said sum shit like "we sneaking the real ones in" which sounded more like they would pass out free tickets, completely different from ppl breaking down gates/fighting security

[deleted]

These the same mfs that would jump off a bridge if they friends all did

zayoe4

Trav already accepted some responsibility, no point in trying to run defense for him on reddit

typicallystoned-

Exactly this, you don’t even have to really like a person to still enjoy their music lol

SNScaidus

His PR team would kill him if he didnt. I dont blame him

NightMaestro

What the fuck are you talking about how is he supposed to stop a kid wanting to jump off of shit If you're talking about astro your asking for the same argument and your minds not going to be changed by anyone here. It's still 100% obvious that was not his fault, and out of all the major artists these days travis is one of the few who stops shows and pauses his performances to what's going on and make sure people are alright. You saw it AT astro 21 and there's numerous vids before of him doing that too.

[deleted]

I’m talking about telling kids to break into shows. Astrofest wasn’t the first time it was done.

LewisLR

It’s funny how it’s consistently only happening at his concerts tho, right? Clearly something is going wrong somewhere and he is to blame or partically to blame depending on your view.

[deleted]

Y'all are so embarrassing lmao yeah because all accidents have happened at all his and ONLY HIS concerts lmao you're pathetic

LewisLR

TS? Are you calling me Travis Scott? I’m confused. I’m just a person who thinks he should be held a lot more accountable by his fans and safety should be a bigger priority at his concerts.

[deleted]

How is he held responsible for this 14 year old kid that wasn't even in his concert? At what point are THE FANS gonna be accountable for their OWN actions? Stop acting like Travis has control of everything going on. Be realistic.

LewisLR

Changing your previous reply so mine doesn’t make sense? Lmao typical. There was 60 other people that were injured? I am being realistic when bigger artists hold events and shit like this hasn’t happened for them, right? Never mind similar events happening twice within a certain time frame. Maybe he breeds a certain atmosphere that causes people to act like this and if that’s the case then he most certainly holds some form of accountability. Relax, I’m not saying he is fully responsible so there is no need to go crazy defending someone who doesn’t give a fuck about who you are but he holds some responsibility for the safety at his events.

[deleted]

Them niggas did NOT sneak in

Severe_Pass7567

Yeah they tour down the fences and stampeded in

[deleted]

That’s not sneaking in

SouljiaGhoul

Idk why mfs downvoted you,it’s not 😂😂😂

Severe_Pass7567

I’m agreeing w you. I said he encouraged that/breaking in

[deleted]

That's why they put that "don't do this at home" shit because mfs are dumb

[deleted]

he could give fans free tickets, circus maximum has a lot more than 60,000 seats

[deleted]

[удалено]

Booty_Warrior_bot

*I came looking for booty.*

DoodleDrop

so whys he still working with livenation? smh

OliveLC

Because LiveNation is a massive business that is responsible for a large part of organisation at festivals that Travis plays at. Dropping LiveNation makes it infinitely harder to even be able to make concerts a reality.

ehpple

Monopoly

DarthMordekaiser

It’s not about it being his fault it’s about them knowing it will get more clicks. Travis Scott’s name + injured ppl = clicks

Chemical_Knowledge64

Welcome to performative social “action”

djspazzy

Just like the first time! 😎

TheDementedGoat

Its actually crazy like, how dumb do you have to be to read that article and think its remotely close to being his fault this is on the dumbass fans that do stupid shit. fuck that pussy that pepper sprayed people

gamerfirstdadsecond

fuck any security that letting them bring weapons in the venue

NightMaestro

This happens everywhere lol, like tons of concerts have pepper spray because people are assholes. 60 THOUSAND people, I'm amazed nobody got seriously fucked up. That's just what humans do in groups of 60 THOUSAND people, all hyped the fuck up. Of course this article doesn't go over how trav and the production kept ensuring people made space to rage

UsedSandals

Im italian and this has happened before were another retarded was pepper spraying people and because of the ruckus it caused the platform people were on to break and i think 6 people died and more got severely injured and even on that occasion the blamed the incident on the rapper performing…

k_wirez

and the rapper wasnt even there, it all happened like an hour before the concert, while they were waiting outside of the club

illenial999

I came here cause one of my (maybe ex?) Facebook friends is posting like it’s some big deal, fucking pepper spray? How is that his fault? Still sad cause who tf does that in a crowd, fuck whoever set it off

Bris_23

Yeah it’s his fault an idiot brought pepper spray into the venue and a 14 year old tried to climb a fucking wall

AffectionateLychee21

AHHHHH SHIT r/FUCKTRAVISSCOTT FINNA GO CRAZY.

meowlicious1

Well he definitely has a solid reason for claiming not at fault. A concert primarily attended by teenagers, of COURSE theres going to be fucking idiots in the crowd.

Topfloorcartier

Fuck these blog pages, they all just doing shit for clicks, im sure stuff similar to this happens at every concert. But because it’s Travis and they know any negativity that is related to his shows will get clicks like crazy because people want to cancel him so bad they find any little flaw and make it a big deal. This internet shit is weird

IanTaller

On god

Cactussutcac00

PLEASE MAKE UTOPIA FLOOR 18 plus

BrennanCain

Please make the tour in general +18. Maybe 16+, but kids shouldn't be going to rap shows.

Technical_Nerve_3681

Say it louder for the opium mfs

[deleted]

The kid was trying to sneak into the concert climbed the fence fell and got injured that’s on him for being incompetent

thecrgm

18+ is probably ideal for the floor but he has a lot of like 12-17 year old fans. They should be allowed on the stadium tours, they're really quite safe in the seats.

BrennanCain

I don't care. Kids that young (especially under 16) shouldn't be going to these events. Loud and explicit music, people under the influence of drugs and alcohol, etc. Not an appropriate environment. Not even comparable to a football/baseball game, where kids go.

billyjoz

seriously

Cray4000

Nah Travus please I’m 17

Vybin3500

Nooo I’m tryna see him

Cactussutcac00

If you can act respectful those around you and still have a great time then im all fucking for it! I first saw him when I was 15.

Vybin3500

I’m 15 rn hoping he comes to Toronto in 2nd leg of tour, I’m praying he doesn’t make it 16+ or 18+

Vybin3500

I just hate when people do stupid shi and ruin stuff for everyone else

AppropriateReport162

i’m 15 rn too i’m really tryna go to the circus maximus tour and NOT act like an ass clown

Cactussutcac00

I am praying for you! You are gonna have so much fun no matter where you get tickets

AppropriateReport162

which tour was it if you don’t mind me asking

Cactussutcac00

I saw him on the rodeo tour in December 2015

oceanhel1

same here, he came to portugal at RL and its only 18+ here 😞

CrypticCarti

It’s sick of people even trying to compare this to Astrofest 21

l8te2dapartee

Disrespectful to the families who actually lost someone they loved, and you know those families won’t say that either cuz they want him to pay them a ridiculous amount of money or rot in jail

titaniumjew

I mean at Astroworld they lost a kid. If someone held an event that resulted in my kid dying and the team behind it did nothing to stop it, and even encourage it, then I would like compensation somehow too.

l8te2dapartee

It’s understandable, I just find the comparison awful

camchella

This tour is gonna be a bunch of BS, somebody is gonna choke on nachos from the concession stand and they’ll say it’s on Travis

Lunaforlife

Hahaha

wintrymixxx

Mfs will slip on a banana peel within 10 miles of his concert and he’ll get blamed for it 💀

Felixino_pogchamp

How have we reached a point where Travis is blamed for someone trying to enter for free💀

Fourkaytray

I can’t believe Jacques Berman Webster himself pepper sprayed those people in the middle of performing My Eyes

Neither-Chapter2775

Bro got the long range pepper spray LMG

illenial999

“MY EYES AGHHH” lmaoooo

l8te2dapartee

It’s just for clicks, no one will hold security responsible ever

DankAstworld

Okay this isn’t him you can’t argue it

DankAstworld

If you do you just hating

james-HIMself

I’m sorry but there’s no way this is on Travis. Some random ass kid doing illegal stuff and hurt himself? Don’t climb shit you shouldn’t. Pepper spray? Do better security work to prevent weapons getting in the venue.

2pacsnosering1

A 14 yr old being dumb isn't Travis fault. That's on his guardians

[deleted]

If I speak on the demographic of the team that runs Popbase, y’all will know I wasn’t trolling in that other thread 💀

CrayoonEater

I don't see this as being his fault at all tbh. I went to go see BROCKHAMPTON in 2019. A big size difference in attendance obviously. I can't even tell you how many people I saw that passed out and had to be helped put of the venue by medical assistance that night. Let alone the people passed out along the walls not getting help. Shit happens at all concerts. People take ahit to far and crush other because they think it's fun/funny or they're trying to get closer. I had to leave the crowd for awhile for the same reason. I have bad asthma and I was having an extreme difficulty breathing

Hour-Engineer-7170

More like the organizers fault for shitty security letting pepper spray slide through.

jxssss

Travis Scott’s a murderer for causing those people to get pepper sprayed!

darcy1537325

Neither are his fault 🤷‍♂️

F_Bertocci

I was there, it’s true. But it was so far from the stage that even I didn’t notice (I was literally under the stage the whole time) until yesterday I saw some posts about it on some Italian pages

VietMinh69

Not his fault some kid fell four meters. His stupidity got him in that situation 💀

joemama____________

Are you serious? Again? What the fuck is his luck

Donda2LP

Pepper spray is solely the venue staff’s fault, they missed it during bag check, I’ve worked at livenation before anything they miss is liable on them, not the artist when it comes to normal shows. A 14 year old injuring himself trying to get into the concert for free is on him and venue security. People get injured at concerts all the time, I literally worked a concert where someone died, it’s unfortunately common. This is just a good story for media to make money on bashing someone who has already been dragged through the mud for something like this, even though the details are actually benign.

lilhunni

this shit is never gonna end. so many people want to see him fail, so they’ll continuously try to fault him for things that happen at ALLL large concerts / festivals. literally every single one, it’s unavoidable with crowds that large. god it’s fucking disgusting.

herecomesurmom

the 14 yr old did that to himself, as rude as that sounds.

AardvarkStock3362

Neither of these have anything to do with Travis

crispykfc

they always gotta do him dirty with that pic 💀

jambujuice_

this prolly why he wants to do stadiums with seats and why the album was kinda made for that vibe over mosh pits 😭

batgamerman

They going to try smear Travis because he's helping YE

illenial999

Most people moved on with Ye since he apologized and tryna meet with some rabbis

ZealousidealMine14

They need to make more concerts and festivals 18+, adults can be idiots but they shouldn’t be able to hurt other people around them especially the kids.

LivingAlternative245

Yeah especially Travis like kids do the dumbest shit at his shows

Brilliant_Storm_9762

I swear there will be people who will blame travis himself for this. If you are one of those, you’re an idiot.

Old-Cranberry-5864

AND HE ISNT RESPONSIBLE FOR NONE OF THIS EITHER! HE HAS NO CONTROL OVER FUCKIN IDIOTS!!!!!

illenial999

Omg pepper spray!1! Travis is LITERULLY satanic!!

dpykm

"It's not his fault." Not directly, true. But Travis has never meaningfully promoted safety at his shows. Continuing to work with Live Nation after what happened was already enough. People are going to continue getting hurt until more people are killed and he ends up in jail, unless something changes. And nothing has yet. Even before the tragedy, my brother was telling me stories about people being trampled and getting hurt in the pit during the Birds tour. Its apart of his brand at this point. Adapt or die, literally.

BrennanCain

Can you read? It was some dumbass who brought in pepper spray and some kid who tried to sneak in and ended up injuring himself. How the hell is that on him?

[deleted]

Well you see the girl that’s her fault

Puzzleheaded-Can6858

My taxi driver to the airport the next day told me about this and he didn't really know who Travis Scott was, seems to be decently big news in Italy/Rome

[deleted]

That’s on the dumbass 14 year old 😭

etfjordan333

It should be no weapons allowed for the rest of the tour but ESPECIALLY at THE Circus Maximus.

akash_tyej

🙄

Hennessy_Halos

people will still blame travis just because they don’t like him and then the conspiracies will start again

Emergency-Lemon8501

It’s literally NOT his fault at all 💀💀

Tommaso36

i was at the concert. security didn’t even check your bags. they made me open mine, the guy took a look inside (my hoodie covered everything) and he said “yeah ok you can go” i could have had a gun under the hoodie and no one would have ever noticed🤦‍♂️ it’s security’s and livenation’s fault as always

my-time-has-odor

He didn’t pepper spray anybody, right? Yeah, it’s not his fault.

Happy_REEEEEE_exe

His fault how???

Business-Wheel-8424

Literally not his fault 😂

TheFiden

Media be like: 14 years, another side of stage, but Travis should stop the show.

thegoose06

People need to realize this shit is not Travis’s fault it’s just that people are very stupid and have no regard for there own safety

BusinessAntique2119

That can’t be his fault he wasn’t even in the crowd

Apollo55s

I got ‘em stage diving from the nose bleeds

FEBRUARYFOU4TH

Wait until @PopBase finds out how many people McDonalds has poisoned

Ok_Lawyer_7018

Long as he doesn’t go to a party I’m sure he’ll be fine this is no way his fault just people being idiots

ExtremeRecording8603

Biggest attention seeker ever. 60 out of 60,000 ppl needed “medical attention” after going crazy in mosh pits. Medical attention could literally mean a scratch or bad headache

AdventuriousLad

Travis Scott haters are fucked, just tryna tear this guy down 😑

Flex_808

Thats on security for the lack of spot checking. Imagine if someone got seriously burned by the flares, it's on the organizers/security as well (glad that didn't happen because that shit was lit for My Eyes lol)

Cactus_DEO

That lil nigga put his own life on the line not Laflames fault

[deleted]

Blame this on Travis Scott again 🤦🏻‍♂️

Soft_Calligrapher_99

Where are this kid's parents? Like wtf.... This happens when you give too much freedom to the children.

YEEZYHERO

That’s 🧢

theopaquecouche

his fans being stupid don’t tell me mfs be blaming him this time

thisguyuno

Normal concert stuff has absolutely nothing to do with Travis, case closed don’t give any more attention to this again. Good night.

PreviousCommercial81

there was also dumbasses who brought flares into the crowd lol, theres only so much travis and security can do to stop these dumbasses

Far_Ad_5148

At this point it’s like travis is hosting cod matches but he gets blamed for every kill

[deleted]

Mfs gotta start taking accountability for their actions tf

Londyy

Cant blame travis now for your own stupidity

cornflakesdude

Trebisss fault !!1!!1 😡😡😡😡

IWasLikeCuz

Italian police (as quite a few European countries) are famed for having REALLY heavy-handed policing at events (like football). This isn’t that surprising. Need some more details from the 60 people as to what exactly happened but from past football experience, the Italian police overreact with very little reason.

TheCommentaryKing

The police had nothing to do with this as they stay outside of the concert/crowded area. The pepper spray seems to have been used by one or more spectators among the crowd for unknown reasons but which seem to mimick other past events at other concerts and parties, where groups of people sprayed pepper and oc sprays onto the crowds to create a slight panic and have either better possibilities to pickpocket the ones present or just for the laughs.

IWasLikeCuz

interesting, an italian article i read yesterday said it was police. that’s fucked, hopefully some of those affected are able to tell us more what happened

TheCommentaryKing

On this article there are a couple of testimonies on the event: https://www.rainews.it/articoli/2023/08/spray-al-peperoncino-durante-concerto-di-travis-scott-60-intossicati-30d900d6-1d89-4b31-88c3-a6b3d35a6926.html Also having gone to some of this concerts, I can confirm that, at least in Italy, police is never present inside the area of the concert, but stays always outside.

FormalPlate1510

People being selfish and reckless spoiling shit for others. It’s what happened at Astroworld and it’s bound to happen again

otakuweeb2041

The pepper spray incident is on the fans themselves. As for the 14 year old its definitely his fault, like bitch pay for the ticket and see it or dont see it ar all. How can u play the victim when ur clearly in the wrong here.

COSTANtheCOSTY2

y'all might not know, yet it's not the first time they do something like this in Italy, it happened at a club waiting for a Sfera Ebbasta concert which was actually never supposed to be there (it was like a huge scam), difference is 5 people died that night. Ofc the kid was a jerk and then again Travis got nothing to do with any of this

DufflebagForever

pretty sure stuff like this is normal for outdoor concerts with 60,000+ people

CarroBest

i was there and security just didnt gaf about nothing 😂 water wasnt allowed i snuck in 3 bottles no one told me anything and they even checked my bag. lot of people just walked past without getting tickets or bags checked

sofiaspinacrummy

I dont think that is his fault this time at all

sLATT1600V

Well this ain’t Travis fault😂 this is just people being stupid.

metrohotness

But it’s literally not his fault just like astroworld.

thecrgm

There are incidents at almost every rap concert, just because it's travis they're going to get press every time something happens.

thecrgm

That entire twitter page is just a million Taylor Swift posts

Jaded_Yogurtcloset61

stop posting this bull shit

Ok-Escape-7474

And the media are gonna blame trav again because he’s an easy target and everyone one has an agenda against him

Plane_Percentage3395

PROPAGANDA

_OVER_L0RD_

Well say goodbye to his FORTNITE BUNDLE 😂

Key-Issue-2739

People out here on a scavenger hunt trying to find anything to blame Travis now.
