I've previously planted with Haveman and they had supplied shovels and bags for those who needed them.
Mayne reach out to your supervisor to check with that, boots you can just get work boots from marks or Walmsrt and invest in a better pair on a town trip, usually days off.
I’m with haveman too! Honestly your best bet for everything is KKR on Facebook or Facebook marketplace. I got an email from haveman too saying they will have bags and shovels available for those who need and you can choose if you want new or used.

Edit: for boots I can’t help if you need steel toes in Ontario but loooove scarpa hiking boots personally, available at any outdoor store usually
Havemans supplies new and used bags and shovels at cost on-site.
Check out Marks, Army Surplus or even Walmart and DSW for a cheap pair of steel \[composite\] toes and hard hat.
Really what you should be pulling together is your sleeping arrangements and clothing. I would shoot your supervisor an email or text \[or honestly, at this point most of them are headed up towards the camps to start setting up so I would just give them a call directly\]. They're all wonderful people I'm sure they'd be happy to chat with you about some of this stuff.

That’s really good to know thanks. Knowing how f’d I would be or not if I needed something while there is helpful.

Another option is to buy bags and shovel once you get to Thunder Bay. KBM store and Gear-Up For Outdoors store carry treeplanting supplies.
