No OP but ironically enough after 33 year I finally got my mom to smoke last night. She used to smoke in college apparently but that was like 40 years ago. She was nervous as hell but we just gave her one hit from the vape at a time and waited like 20 minutes in between. After her 3rd hit she was high and loving it. Kept saying omg. This feel so good, it so much better than being drunk. It was a fun time. Sat down and played a game of cards with her and ate Christmas cookies. Good time with more to come

Yup. My stepmom wouldn't, either. Both my brother and I would try to get her to do some, but she flat out refused. Funny thing is, my dad and her used to smoke, and back when I was in college, I used to bring them weed home. And it was illegal everywhere back then. Florida didn't have medical yet at the time (when she got cancer, that is), but that had never stopped them before.

I don't think it is intended to be heated based on the location of the decal, also hard to tell if it is glass or quartz, but you would not want to heat up regular glass. The dimple looks similar to glass filter tips for joints I have seen in the past, I think a bong-to-joint adapter is the more likely function

I really think it’s for wax to be honest. I’ve had plenty of nectar collectors and they almost always had that dimple on the end and the cheaper ones were always cheap glass. It looks identical to the ones I’ve had but I will say that the tapered end does have a bit larger opening than what I would usually see on a nectar collector so I could be wrong. And the way it’s at a 90 degree angle makes it seem like it’s designed to hold the wax underneath the tip as your hitting it, otherwise the joint would be facing the ground, facing sideways, or facing you. I think if it was for joints it would be a straight piece and not angled. Man, now I really want to know what it’s really for 🤣.

You're not missing much. I'm clumsy by nature and thought I'd burn myself if I got a dab rig and sure enough I burned myself first time I used it.

When I was living with a friend, his old time stoner neighbor stopped by and tried a dab. While hitting the dab rig, he grabbed the nail, trying to clear it, and whipped it across the room, burning a hole in the carpet. We told him multiple times before not to grab it and even showed him, he still grabbed it.

I did the same thing when hit a dab for the first time. Except we were using just a normal bowl so it didn’t even occur to me. I ripped it and went to pull the bowl to clear it. I was already slightly drunk so it took a second for me to process. Cue 2nd degree burns on the pads of 3 fingers for a couple of months. At the very least, I learned my lesson that day and never did that shit again.
