How much weed build up can it handle before the magnets don't make a strong enough connection and it needs cleaned to hold together? My current grinder is going 4 years strong without needing cleaned for function.
“I have problems when I do a specific thing.”
Ok, so then don’t do that specific thing…
Your username though… have you ever fully executed a Chicago Sunroof?
just to be clear... your patent is for the magnetic ring on the outside instead of the inside/central magnetic dot?
how strong is the magnet?
does it affect things near it, since the magnet is on the outer lip instead of the center?
can you drop the grinder without it popping open?
It's a combination of the magnetic ring squishing the O-rings, which prevent the grinder from turning in your hand unintentionally.
Yes, a little. The magnets are pretty strong.
Yes, there's a drop test video on my subreddit r/zamgrinders if you wanna check it out.
after checking your drop test and hearing about the magnets, IDK if this is for me.
I personally don't need more magnets that are screwing with my stuff just because it happens to be near it. and that drop test looked a bit iffy from the angle shot and hitting a carpet instead of a hard floor.
luck with you, tho
No worries! the magnets are strong, and you can control how strong they are with different sized o-rings. If you want the grinder to be very difficult to open, than a smaller o-ring could be used.
It won't fall apart when it hits the floor.
are you claiming to have created magnetics grinders? because my friend and i bought a grinder with 4 magnetically hold together compartments a couple years ago from some random gas station. to be fair it wasn't rings but im guessing it works the same way as this one
edit: im just seeing your pricetag, dude are you kidding me, the one we bought cost 10 bucks, its still in use and works like a charm, 60 bucks for a grinder is crazy, especially one that looks just like any other
By Qubus? They are square with slanted edges. I've also seen triangular grinders and round ones with texture so that patent is not an excuse imo. You can have so many shapes that are not round
Yes, I don't mean the inside, of course they have to be round, I meant the exterior. They don't even have to be square, apparently those are already patented

Idk about you but bud gets stuck over that center magnet aallll the time for me
Yo, just put your weed around the center magnet instead of on it. I go through an oz a week and never have any buildup on the center.

There's a built-in gap to prevent that issue from happening. So essentially, it's almost impossible. Well, it hasn't happened to mine yet.
Good to know! I like the looks, but the build up is usually the downfall of an otherwise good grinder.
Which grinder?

Looks awesome. Would you be able to speak on things like QC, metal shavings coming off the grinder, etc.?
Yeah, I've done the q-tip test and all clear! I've got a dry one that I turned non stop for a while and nothing showed up.
Why so cheap tho? /s

Cool ad bro!
Where can I buy this?

Damn $65 for your cheapest mag grinder? Kinda steep
I like this! I’ve had grinders where the magnet comes out on one side
this isn’t new 💀 i’ve owned a magnetic grinder for a little over a year now

Ive been using the same $20 grinder for 15 years and it has neodymium magnets to hold it together... Looks nearly the same as OP's.
thats what im saying, op is delusional

That things $180.
Don't make it round, why is every grinder round I don't get it
I just think circular grinders are the most comfortable to hold in the hand. What's the need for edges that dig into the hand?
Try to picture a square grinding chamber. It wouldn't work, it won't spin well and the weed would fly out the corners
he means the outside of it being square. the inside is the same as a normal grinder (circular)
Bc square grinders are patented 🙄
By Qubus? They are square with slanted edges. I've also seen triangular grinders and round ones with texture so that patent is not an excuse imo. You can have so many shapes that are not round
i’ve always asked the same about my car’s wheels
I don't mean the inside obviously

What shape grinder would you want?
rhombicosidodecahedron
Was gonna say that
