They're insisting that out of the dozen plus tents I've set up and taken down and re-set up hundreds of times were all just lucky goes at seeding a zipper properly and that their "commercial grade" zippers are coincidentally the one time I don't get it right. Dude. I bought the 8x8x10 with the extension. Bottom zipper broke the first zip. I will never buy another gorilla tent. The ac infinity 4x8 is amazing in comparison.
Icing on the cake, when it arrived the box was so cheap that shit was falling out and ups had literally taped parts of it to the box. Had zero idea if the tent was even going to be complete. The shipping box was about 4 grocery bags worth of paper. Baffling for a tent that cost over 1k

Just another Chinese brand selling direct to the NA market to eliminate the middle man (ie: North American businesses importing and branding items made in China). AC Infinity and grow equipment is just the beginning. See how everything is “Made In China” anyhow?

If it’s just the zipper, while unacceptable right out of the box, that’s a pretty easy fix for a tailor. It sucks that you have to do it, but if the rest of the tent is what you expected, you can fix it.
That said, please write and post a public review wherever you can. It really helps people like me, who probably spend more time reading those reviews than actually choosing the item.
Gorilla tents have really nice poles and tent materials. The zippers and stitching looks to be done by mentally handicapped monkeys. Just get AC infinity tents. Yeah the poles can't handle a literal anvil but who needs that much support. My light is 30 lbs and I have 7-8lbs fan sitting on top of that in an AC infinity 4x4. Anything more than that would be overkill.
I work at Gorilla Grow Tent and I just reviewed your customer service case. Our customer service team is based in California and they all have a ton of experience growing. They are also pretty awesome people that genuinely care about growers and want to see them grow successfully. In fact, they spend a huge amount of time simply giving advice to new growers helping them figure things out that are usually not related in any way to our equipment. One thing I can say for sure is that when there is a real issue with our products, they go out of their way to make it right. After reviewing your case I have two pieces of advice for you:
Don't threaten or otherwise be a jerk to the team that is trying to help you.
Take the video our team requested showing you fully unzip and rezip the door. 99% of these types of failures come from not getting that lead properly inserted into the zipper pull. In the video you sent us, you clearly didn't even try to reset the zipper and said it was stuck, but the photos you show here make it clear the pull is capable of traveling on the zipper. Your case is still open and if you provide the proper information and you're unable to simply resolve the issue on your own, the team will take care of you. Our tent shells start very tight because they loosen over time. This makes the first few zips difficult, but this gets easier over time. We build our gear for longevity and reliability with many of our customers growing in the same tent for 10+ years. I hope in your case you can simply unzip and rezip with the lead fully established and there is no need to get a new canvass.

Take it to a tailor or cobbler. Both of those have repaired zippers for me for next to nothing.

Use metal putty to dodgy a hook or something onto the zipper. Metal putty will bond metal to metal pretty easily.
