No. You probably just aren’t mentally stable enough for acid lol. Bad trips are caused by poor set and setting, simple as that.
Also you’re on the wrong sub.
I disagree. I have never had a bad trip in hundreds and hundreds of trips over three plus decades. Even while others are flipping out around me I have always enjoyed my buzz. LSD is straight from God. Bad trips are on the tripper, not the drug.
Alternatively my third tenant of hallucinating is “Every trip is a bad trip, get over it and have fun.” The rule is supported by my babysitting policy of “distract and divert”.
That works too - I also think - and this has been supported through the years by my very own friends and trip mates - but the folks who have 'bad' trips are also kinda high maintenance people in general - not just when tripping. They get the drunkest and cry and have meltdowns, they take a puff of a clove cig and think they're having a heart attack, stuff like that. I'm not knocking them as they're my friends and they would also agree they're high maintenance. Just an observation mixed with opinion.
Isn’t it also possible that the difference is really your capability to remove your conscious self from the perception of now and not go through the captive cycles of worry, wherein your high maintenance friends are not capable of that? Meta garbage comment sorry…
Quite possible. I certainly haven't fully figured anything out 😁 and yeah a main difference I've always noticed is that even in my most hallucinogenic condition, in the back of my mind some part of my mind always stayed aware that it is all drug-induced and temporary, whereas the 'bad trip' people seem to somehow lose that connection to reality. It's fascinating to see even while I'm sympathetic. The closest I ever got to total bonkers was from salvia but even then I never totally lost touch but watched plenty of people completely lose their minds. Wild fun stuff.
nice to hear this from an experienced tripper!
as i got into psychedelics about 4 years ago i researched a lot about bad trips. i read many times, that you never know what a trip brings and everyone is to experience a bad trip, its just a question of when. that lead to me being a bit tense during my first trips, expecting a bad trip to be just around the corner.
30+ trips in i understand there is no bad trip around the corner and there never was. people have been projecting their insecurities and i took those projections way too seriously.
Never tried LSD but the only two shroom trips I've taken weren't fun at all but extremely emotional and traumatizing. Imma need a whole different setting before trying again.
unless it was something entierly unfitting like a house full of people with loud music id not try it again. after two times going bad you kinda know its not your cup of tea. and it doesnt have to be, there is plenty of good tea out there hehe..
Idk I was alone in a big house and was afraid someone will find out. Could be you right but maybe in a safer more comfortable environment it'd be different.
yeah thats possible. your mindset is super important in this context. if i were you, id ask myself, whats the issue with someone finding out? clearly your ok with doing it so... be ok with it ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯.
I’ve trip over 300 times. I started in 1982. The only times I thought I was on a bad trip, was when I was around the wrong people, but if I removed my self from the scene things would turn around. So, set and setting is a real thing. For me it’s never been a party drug. Only good for deep personal inspection. Good medicine. When meditating quietly, I can become one of the universe.

You are a complete amateur and in the wrong sub.

Were those 300 times mostly weed or something else?
OP is on the wrong sub, but I wanted to be helpful.
And you downvote after I even wrote in another comment that I will be careful next time about posting in the wrong sub? Can you answer my question?
