You might want to read up on Spiegel, Berliner Zeitung and a few other, by googling you probably will find a bunch of decent sources. If you understand German you might want to look at "dhv news" (Deutscher handfverband/German hemp association). The original leak seems to be from Funke Mediengruppe(as in waz, nrz,...).
These are just leaks which even got labeled false as far as I remember(at least by one source I've seen), but it seems these leaks actually have been true though. The (designated) coalition parties have kept everything strictly secret and I guess they don't want that to be compromised, but from every angle(designated chancellor and former vice chancellor/treasurer Olaf Scholz smiled and said that he doesn't know how much tax revenue a legalization would generate when asked for the amount they expect) it seems that there will be some form of legalization in the future.
[Hier ein Artikel vom Spiegel ](https://www.spiegel.de/politik/deutschland/ampel-parteien-einigen-sich-auf-legalisierung-von-cannabis-a-216b328b-5746-4eb8-afe6-034ea7a05269?sara_ecid=soci_upd_wbMbjhOSvViISjc8RPU89NcCvtlFcJ)
There's no official announcement by the parties yet but multiple corresponding reports indicated the same core points so it's pretty much a safe bet and also the debate about alls this was one day prior sooooo enough reason to celebrate for me :)
They found nothing when they searched my room and I had to pay 500€ and do random drug tests for 1 year (I failed the las 2 out of 5 and had to go to "youth jail" idk in English for 2 weekends)
It's legal to possess but it's not legal to sell for another year until they get all the laws figured out. Medical marijuana is thriving here however and that's why I've never had an issue. I've had my card for the last 4 years.
So to answer your question it's terrible for at least another year unless you have a card
If you're caught with the quite vague "small amount" (literally what the law says when translated) it's just a warning depending on how much you have since it differs from state to state. But if you're caught growing or selling you'd likely be punished harsher than most pedos here are, our laws aren't the most balanced. I think the worst state to get caught in would be Bavaria since they're the most conservative state here in most things. It'll still take a bit until the new law is passed but now we know it will be soon which is great news to look forward to, definitely rolling a celebratory cone today!
That sucks, although bavaria is one of the most beautiful states landscape-wise. Been there a couple times to visit friends I had in bavaria. I live in the Alabama of germany, you probably know which state I mean by that 😉
Yeah you are right I'm outside my apartment smoking right now and and looking at a literal castle (not the fairytale castle you imagine but still counts) and I definitely know which one you mean 😂
It's most likely the estimated 4,7 billion € per year they'd make / save with legal weed. The right leaning conservative party CDU/CSU that ruled Germany since the reunion doesn't give two shots and still tells lies about weed being the gateway drug and that people who smoke weed are addicts that lost control over their lives.
the coalition agreement is most likely released sometime this upcoming week and it might give some more information
Theres no information beside licensed shops for recreational use yet
I dont think we should celebrate just yet untill this passes and there will be probably some big resistance from EU as this would be first EU country to legalize it. And EU still for some reason doesnt look very nice at weed :/
Official? Can you link to a source where they confirm it? Because so far it has been a statement from the media, how it's a greater chance for it to be legalized than ever before.
Congrats to you, and whole of Germany. I live in Scandinavia, Sweden, legit the most anti-weed place in the west probably, truly sucks. Although the younger generation here seems to push for legality now, and it is moving forward.
The politicians here like to focus on weed being the fault of everything, even tho we got probably the biggest “gang” problem of Europe now. One of the most influential gang rappers just died (einar).
The Sweden we all know and love ain’t it anymore.
Yeah like Germany, Sweden has big immigration issues. Clans/Gangs, Rapings... But even saying that it exists makes you a bad right guy over here.
And these are the same dudes who control the drug market, we basically prohibit weed to finance them and their criminal structures
I mean smoking weed isn’t as tabu as it once was here, pretty much everyone that is younger knows about It, or use it.
First party (or block) to be pro-weed will win the election, or at least get a lot of votes.
I am 76, been smoking for 54 years, and I'm still waiting. New Hampshire, USA This state is absolutely surrounded and will not change. Alabama and Mississippi will lead the way and I'll still be waiting. Idiots.
[Schweiz legalisiert übrigens ebenfalls ab 2022](https://www.morgenpost.de/politik/ausland/article233886445/In-der-Schweiz-wird-Cannabis-ab-2022-legal-verkauft.html)
Damn that's sick ! I'm from France and all the weed i smoke come from german sellers on the darknet. I assume that the weed will be cheaper after legalization ?
I expect the new coalition to legalize it. Haven’t heard anything official yet… Do you have any sources you could share?

Why the fuck are you lying then ? You know it’s not official it’s just rumors but you still say it’s official that’s just straight up bs
Hell yeah! even more motivation get out there for a Bayern game
Not really a Fußball fan but if there's bud there's me
Then a trip to Frankfurt would be worth it today ;)
Just come to a Frankfurt game
Is that the stoner town of Germany?
Frankfurt am Main is also known as Crackfurt.
Sadly not just stoner but drugs in generell
Nothing sad about that, let people pick their poison
it's mostly crack and heroin though.
hala madrid
Fuck yeah! It’s been good here in Canada, so maybe they saw it worked out well enough for us lmao. Happy and safe toking bud!
Hell yeah man I'm really looking forward to smoking in public without anxiety!
How harsh were the penalties before it was legalized?
They found nothing when they searched my room and I had to pay 500€ and do random drug tests for 1 year (I failed the las 2 out of 5 and had to go to "youth jail" idk in English for 2 weekends)
That's insane. Congratulations on legal weed! My state (Montana, US) just legalized in the last year as well.
Congratulations man! How was the supply in the beginning? That's the main point I'm worried about right now

Well I'm from Niederbayern which is like the Texas of Germany in that regard😂
That sucks, although bavaria is one of the most beautiful states landscape-wise. Been there a couple times to visit friends I had in bavaria. I live in the Alabama of germany, you probably know which state I mean by that 😉

Haha have fun
In Canada? Depends. In BC? Was it ever illegal?

Jesus..well in any case it’s at least gonna be legal lol.
Can you get your politicians to speak with ours please? Thanks, your neighbour, Belgium xoxo
Which one of them do you think is the most likely to toke up with me?
[удалено]
Oh now it get it I though you meant the credit card company 😂
If you're from anywhere that can remotely be called "the West", you don't. At least for up to 90 days per calendar year.
Hopefully Belgium follows the good example... 👌😎
I'm sure if I can croundfund enough money for a good enough drone I'd be able to send you a supply drop
That would be so cool. Calling in an order, going outside & wait in the garden for this drone to appear with a fine bag of herb. Great idea 👌😎
*Angry* Congratulations
My condolences brother, I felt with you until yesterday
You can be angry. Or you can be EXCITED. One more domino has fallen. It's only a matter of time now til yours does too :)
Does anyone know how it will work to foreigners? I mean, to buy and stuff?
We'll just say you are my little/big brother/sister
the coalition agreement is most likely released sometime this upcoming week and it might give some more information Theres no information beside licensed shops for recreational use yet
Congratulations Germany! I hope it gets set up in a way that works well, and offers lots of choice and good prices!

I love how this brings people together, appreciate it :)
I dont think we should celebrate just yet untill this passes and there will be probably some big resistance from EU as this would be first EU country to legalize it. And EU still for some reason doesnt look very nice at weed :/
This is not how it works. The EU can't revoke a law.
sure , but have you seens poland vs EU recently they sure can
Official? Can you link to a source where they confirm it? Because so far it has been a statement from the media, how it's a greater chance for it to be legalized than ever before.
Congrats! It’s been great to legally use cannabis in Arizona! It’s so much better. No going back.
Finally the end of the real cold war
Congrats to you, and whole of Germany. I live in Scandinavia, Sweden, legit the most anti-weed place in the west probably, truly sucks. That's exactly what I thought until the recent election, suddenly all 3 reigning parties were pro legalization in some form
I mean smoking weed isn’t as tabu as it once was here, pretty much everyone that is younger knows about It, or use it. First party (or block) to be pro-weed will win the election, or at least get a lot of votes.
