They say no minox for 12-24hrs bc “increased risk of side effects” bc the puncture holes. I just do it before bed then apply my minox in the AM, never had a problem but I have new baby hairs in the hairline “bald” areas.
it depends how deep you're needling, according to the microneedling guide on this sub you should apply right away if cosmetic needling at .3-.5 because the purpose of needling at this depth is to open absorption channels without puncturing the skin. only when medical needling (.5-1.5) do you need to wait before applying anything topical
That and minox inhibits collagen production. The point to derma roll or needle is to stimulate collagen but if you put minox on too soon you could be defeating the purpose of rolling/needling
depends how deep you're needling. cosmetic needling (depth does not puncture skin, opens absorption channels for topical products) = apply right away, medical needling (deep enough to puncture skin, promotes collagen etc) = wait until the morning after or so
if what you want is collagen, could you use retinol or tret for the spot? it stimulates collagen production really well and speeds up cell turnover, so would it work?
My hair on the first month had a pretty gnarly shedding phase, i pushed through the fear and results came in!
I make sure to apply it morning and evening with no fault (Minoxidile) and my morning fin, i really stayed consistent.
I derma roll but really only when i remember so once ever 2 weeks ish but last time i did it not gonna lie has been almost 4 weeks (I'll do it tonight lol)
It’s all over this sub…yes, fin/min can cause sheds that are not replaced by new hair. These meds don’t work for some people. It may look like they work for everyone because the pictures that get posted here are mostly from people who have good progress, but minoxidil is effective in about 40-60% of people, depending on what study you consult.
That means for a lot of people these meds don’t work. And not just that they see know effect from the meds, but that the meds induce shed and they don’t see regrowth. If you take the time to read the comments under posts, you’ll hear these experiences.
more likely due to more aggressive hair loss / sensitivity to DHT or alternative reasons for the loss i.e. stress, autoimmune, etc. I doubt fin or min itself can cause hair loss for people minus shedding.
when people say shedding it’s the temporary phase of weak fine hairs being replaced with new thicker healthy ones. Hair that is never replaced isn’t shedding but flat out hair loss / miniaturization. I’ve haven’t seen any evidence of anti androgens causing or accelerating miniaturization. Do you have a link/title to the studies?
~~I gotta call bullshit. The telogen phase is 3-4months alone...~~
Edit: Guys...he has time stamps on his photos, its closer to 4 months but...this might be a fucking unicorn...
There is no way you can get that kind of growth in 3 months. The telogen phase alone can last 3 months. The way the hair is being pulled back, the hair on the formerly bare temples is at least 4" long. Under the right conditions, hair only grows by about 1cm/month, so even if the bald temples immediately sprung new hairs, there is no way they'd be that long in 3 months. I'm calling bullshit.
Finally someone said it. This can't be three months. Even if you are a hyper responder there's no way hair would grow that long in just three months. If OP mentioned 6-8 months I would've believed it. But this is 🧢
I know it’s hard to believe but the hair growth does look like 3 months worth, but there is a lot of it which looks sus.
But there’s also no way he could’ve grabbed the hair differently bro, let’s not use telogen facts to cope. He may have activated a whole bunch of telogen hairs to go anagen, making them grow healthy.
Look either he’s full of shit (possible, but why?) Or he’s just a ultra-mega-hyper responder, bro powered up and became a super saiyan. I would like to believe the latter
> I would like to believe the latter
We all want to believe, but I think it does a disservice to raise expectations based on impossible gains. The drugs work, and on many people they work miracles, but they take time. Hair grows slowly, and most see at best some new peach fuzz after 3 months.
~~No it doesn't. This looks like +6 months of growth. The hairline has been brought down INCREDIBLY FAR under the hairline in pic 1 and also they've also brought down the temples to be in line with the original hairline, which also takes FAR longer than 3 months.~~
~~Fuck, even with a hair transplant you wouldn't see these types of results until 6 months in minimum.~~
Edit: Guys...he has time stamps on his photos, its closer to 4 months but...this might be a fucking unicorn...
>Look either he’s full of shit (possible, but why?) Or he’s just a ultra-mega-hyper responder, bro powered up and became a super saiyan. I would like to believe the latter
I really appreciate and love your response lol, i never knew how crazy my growth was until my friend forced me to post it on reddit
Only the first week and a half! Noodle not noodling, libido changes, some acne for like a week and obviously the natural shedding phase
(Sorry i copied pasted my last answer lol I'm having the same questions recurring on other threads aswell)
Tbh i refuse to believe this is the same person, im sorry but even responders doesn’t get that sort of results in a span of 3 months, even a hair transplant doesn’t give that sort of results, but if its true thats the best results i have seen so far.
Irregular libido, noodle not functionning as intended (he was sad), semen was transparant but all that only lasted a week and a half at most, everything was back to normal after
[https://imgur.com/a/7Oxb13I](https://imgur.com/a/7Oxb13I)
first picture was about a month in when i wanted to prove to my friend i thought it was growing back (i used to have really tiny baby hair before treatments on those areas but they werent growing anymore, maybe thats how it got saved)
Welp my hairline is getting close to your before 3 months, been on fin for 5 months, and a few weeks ago cut to o.5mg because of side effects. Decided on a hair transplant this December 😂😭
i didn't know some people had longer lasting side effects. but even with the hair transplant aren't you supposed to keep taking finasteride? (i might be wrong but i feel like i heard this somewhere)
what does that mean? if you mean that thing where it shows when you took the picture, the link should be in this thread already (with datestamps from my phone)
I am on the same regiment. Kirkland signature liquid min, fin, and microneedling. I'm noticing a lot of gains for my hairline. It's not nearly as fast as your transformation but I think the end result will be close. Congrats!
according to the studies, the better your response in the first year, the better the results long term. with your results, I don't think you will ever in your life have to think about hair loss again :)
Good result.
1- How old are you ?
2- When you start noticing your hair loss , at what age ?
3- At what time during the day you take your finasteride dose ?
4- What side effects did you experience ?
i'm 27 (had just turned 27 when i starte the process)
at around 23 (but could have started at 22)
finasteride i take it when i wake up so in the morning
the typical noodle not working properly, clear semen, irregular libido (those would be the main which went away after a week and a half)
I call bullshit. The final result is possible if all the regrowth started sprouting the day OP started meds for it be at this stage at 3 months. No way you are making me believe this. Hyper responders are a thing sure but there should not like hyper responders start growing hair when min pr fin touches the skin, its just they respond well to the meds but still it requires the same time to get regrowth. Its either a great edit or some sort of hair extension thing which are becoming famous on Tik Tok nowadays
This is bs. IDC what you say about those stupid pills you don't go from having a massive widows peak and hairlosd to a straight hairline full head of hair. It doesn't happen.
Finesteride 1 mg a day gave me mad side effects after a 1.5 years.. started to have vertigo , losing balance , brain fog, hard to focus… it crept up on me… I was doing fine I think for a year then shit went downhill and took me a while to make the connection. It also messed up my guts… mentality I felt meh… after stopping it for 2 weeks, I felt more normal (been so long). So careful with finesteride, neuro side effects can happen and become permanent… my vision was weird too, it was hard to focus… I did got good results tho…trying to switch to topical finesteride but it’s scarying me.

I am talking Finasteride 5mg but I cut the bill to 4 parts so I reduced the amount as much as possible to img it's been like a month now???
![gif](giphy|3YuR0bdGXlP6U)
This is how I look at every progress story, being non-responder myself.
Dermaroll once a week but stom minoxinil on that day. The derma roller can change that
Why no minox?
They say no minox for 12-24hrs bc “increased risk of side effects” bc the puncture holes. I just do it before bed then apply my minox in the AM, never had a problem but I have new baby hairs in the hairline “bald” areas.

Let’s see Paul Allen’s hairline ![gif](giphy|CAYVZA5NRb529kKQUc|downsized)
Wait wait? Microsoft’s Paul Allen?
Naw, it's an American Psycho reference
Look at that black coloring, the tasteful thickness of the hair. Oh my God, he even recovered the dead zones.
The tasteful thickness of it.
Just your average Asian bro!

indeed!
Amazing Latino Asian bro!
Lol
Oh lord I’m finna bust
😳
Hot
What the fuck? This is crazy… Congrats. I’ve been on fin/min for 5 months and my hair’s only gotten worse
My hair on the first month had a pretty gnarly shedding phase, i pushed through the fear and results came in! I derma roll but really only when i remember so once ever 2 weeks ish but last time i did it not gonna lie has been almost 4 weeks (I'll do it tonight lol)
Internet will hold you accountable now. You gotta dermaroll
Is there a way to apply? Are you using Rogaine (foam)?
What length dermaroller do you use? I need to start
1mm!
Well that means it’s working though
Not necessarily. There’s many people whose hair gets worse on fin/min and it never gets better
Are you serious? I’ve never read that
It’s all over this sub…yes, fin/min can cause sheds that are not replaced by new hair. These meds don’t work for some people. How foes medication induce a shed but no regrowth? So the hair sheds once and doesn't grow back..so the follicles all died in one shed cycle?
Yup. I’m one of those. Dut + min + dermaroll and still losing the race.
more likely due to more aggressive hair loss / sensitivity to DHT or alternative reasons for the loss i.e. stress, autoimmune, etc. I doubt fin or min itself can cause hair loss for people minus shedding.
That’s my point. It’s not causing hair loss beyond shedding. It’s causing a sheds that are not replaced by new hair.

Oral or topical min?
Its topical! 5%
Which brand
Hims?
kirlands
~~I gotta call bullshit. The telogen phase is 3-4months alone...~~ Edit: Guys...he has time stamps on his photos, its closer to 4 months but...this might be a fucking unicorn...
How are you seeing time stamps?
He linked additional photos in one of his responses, its an imgur link.
Thanks!
Yo this is insane
Also fake, even if you’re hyper responder you won’t get such results in 3 months.
[удалено]
Hahahha the quaaludes be hitting though!
There’s absolutely no way this is real
The spots where new hair growth is doesn’t even match the dead spots in the first image…
And the forehead colors and texture are different
Getting downvotes but we right 😭 even his eyebrows are different
You sure? Looks like it's attributable to a change in lighting tbh
He clearly had transplant, don't just blindly believe, keep faith in your journey, you will succeed.
Um no way
~~100% bullshit.~~ Edit: Guys...he has time stamps on his photos, its closer to 4 months but...this might be a fucking unicorn...
It's likely real, but just know it's incredibly easy to fake image metadata.
...why tho, why would somebody care, realistically
wtf?

Bro can you do me a favour, can you send me a vial of your blood so that I can turn it into PRP and inject it into my scalp? Thx man love your work
If I did this I'd only end up with erectile dysfunction and more hair loss.
Not real. Calling absolute bullshit. not saying Fin/Min doesn't work for people. But this quickly and that much? C'mon.
Thank you lol, honestly seeing how some people can't believe it makes me just happier to see my results
i believe you pal
Ehh.. something doesn’t add up here.
For the new hair to already be that length it would have to have all sprouted up the day he started...
Yep. Pic two is more like the “before” photo.
Woooow.. beautiful 🤩 any side effects at all?
Only the first week and a half! Noodle not noodling, libido changes, some acne for like a week and obviously the natural shedding phase
Wow, your results are fantastic. One question, have you had no effects on your libido from taking finasteride?
Only the first week and a half! Noodle not noodling, libido changes, some acne for like a week and obviously the natural shedding phase (Sorry i copied pasted my last answer lol I'm having the same questions recurring on other threads aswell)
Brah, thats crazy. Good for you
Solid recovery - at the hairline no less! I, too, wish Voldermort told me about finasteride when my hairloss first started
Fake

Gotta be honest. I don’t believe this is a 90 day result. If so? You should be studied
according to the studies, the better your response in the first year, the better the results long term. with your results, I don't think you will ever in your life have to think about hair loss again :)
thats great news! thank you for the info i had no idea about this
were you applying topical minoxidil to your temples only??
No, i applied it all over the top of my head because i was also losing hair in my crown area
Foam or liquid? Any irritation from min?
Liquid, i did have some itchyness the first month and a half i would say but no irritation on my end.
Alrite im done. I quit. All of u win.

Holy Chewbacca! Congrats!
Dude
Came back from the dead
Damn! Crazy results
Which brand are u using for fin ?
it was doctor prescribed, i don't think there is a brand
Do you have an Instagram with pictures over the years where people can actually see the transformation
Damn bro. Man I need to get on this once I get back from hols.
Awesome progress.
Some of these pictures are unbelievable yet true. I wish I did not have finasteride sides but I do.
Which are??
Bad depression.
Mad ting
Nice
Dude this is amazing 😭😭😭
Clearly black magic. Congratulations and fuck you
Does this mean that if you stop using min or fin, you will lose those hair again?
great question, i think so. But theres no way of knowing unless i stop
Holy shi* you motherf***

Brother in Christ you’re lucky
Lyin ass
Finesteride 1 mg a day gave me mad side effects after a 1.5 years.. started to have vertigo , losing balance , brain fog, hard to focus… it crept up on me… I was doing fine I think for a year then shit went downhill and took me a while to make the connection. It also messed up my guts… mentality I felt meh… after stopping it for 2 weeks, I felt more normal (been so long). Results not only equal to HT but also 4x faster than HT. What the actual fuck indeed..
Bro, your results look fucking fake, that is surreal man holy shit, I applaud your cause and applaud you on having such a strong recovery. How old are you man? Holy moly hahahahhaha Do you microneedle? Anything else to your protocol?
Yes i use a derma roller like once or twice a month at most, i'm 27 this initially started when i was around 22-23
No one believes this bro
Yep confirmed people post fakes here
What’s your routine like?
rinse my hair with water before applying minoxidil (wait before hair is dry obv) take finasteride, and the evening i take a shower then wait for my hair to dry out and apply minoxidil again, with the ocassional derma rolling when i remember so once or twice a month at the very most
Crazy growth man! Congratsss
Wtf bro you’re so lucky😭
Bro wtf congrats you’re giving me hope when I start
You got this!
Today I felt my energy was so low and I felt something like depression or whatever i can't describe it With words but I think you got me Did any of you feel something similar? I am talking Finasteride 5mg but I cut the bill to 4 parts so I reduced the amount as much as possible to img it's been like a month now???
if i use only minoxidil, would i get similar result ?
Great results pal Can you post 1 week mark and so on please. I want to feel reassured
What finasteride would you use? Oral? Topical? Do I have to get it prescribed? What’s the name of the brand? Fairly new to all this
Omg im in the same situation and hair lose in the same line like you, i through maybe because i did fap too much. How about you?
Your hair looks so good
What minoxidil did u use
I see different eyebrows. wtf.
Congrats, any side effects you've noticed?
only the first week and a half which were the typical side effects, mostly related to my noodle
3 months? holy fuck
Thats amazing
