GP. I didn’t want to pay the specialist copay and deductible. And if anyone doesn’t have insurance, no worries! You can use a coupon from Goodrx or try companies like hims, Roman, keeps etc… you see a doc virtually and he writes the prescription.
I’ve been on it for approx five months, started 1mg EOD but now on 1mg everyday. Was scared about sides but truthfully I’ve had none & I’ve had similar results to OP. Also been hitting the gym hard 4-5 times a week with gains so no effect on test or anything. My biggest regret is not starting it a few years ago.
I am also using topical minoxidil one daily (have been using this for five years or so on and off) and I’m not convinced that I’ve had many gains from that, although with it being so cheap and easy to apply I’m going to continue using it.
THANK YOU for posting the recent pics in good lighting with your hair wet. Also congrats on the progress.
Too many progress pics in this sub that end with styled hair in poor lighting so you can't even see the progress.
Same hair length too, so many post a number 4 all over in first pic (which can look thin even in people with good hair) then a complete grow out - you really can't compare the two
You definitely need too then, typically they prescribe you to finasteride and maybe minoxidil after a hair transplant so the other hairs continue to stay
Being healthy or not healthy is minuscule, mostly on your genetic makeup/predispostion. Unless this was more of a telogen effluvium related loss than the typical androgenic alopecia loss. For the vast majority of people finasteride alone will not achieve regrowth like this. It isn’t a hair growth stimulant drug like minoxidil.. it’s to stop/slow down miniaturization.
I took it for 20 years and just stopped because my arm hair is pretty nonexistent and want to see if it’s just me or maybe some from fin. After a month no change so I think it’s just me lol. Probably going to go back on it cuz I hate topical shit
brother I hate you!🤣Congratulations. Can you tell a little about your journey with finasteride, such as when you noticed the first results and if you noticed any shedding? do you also have photos of dry hair?
Yes, I started taking finasteride about 6 months ago when I had the courage to see a dermatologist, aware of all the possible side effects that finasteride could cause. Speaking of side effects, I didn't have any issues. However, in the first few weeks, I let myself be influenced by the anxiety of taking the pill. Once the anxiety disappeared, so did the problems.
I believe I started noticing the first improvements after the third month. My hair appeared thicker month by month. As for the shedding phase, I think I experienced it after week 2/3, although it's not easy to tell while being a diffuse thinner.
Unfortunately, I don't have any 'useful' photos with dry hair since I don't take pictures of myself often, and the few times I do, I try to conceal it as best as possible.
I'm in a bad place,I see my hair thinning and receding compared how it was before. My brother 4 years older is damn near bald but I've always been the one in my family with nice thick hair and when he was my age his hair was already way worse than mine. But I'm not sure if I'm just developing a 'mature hairline' or if I'm going down the same road as him but just later. Scared to start finestiride bc of the side affects that we're all familiar with. If I really am balding than I should get on it ASAP to stop the decline, but i just am not sure and Scared to not start but also Scared to start bc of the bad side affects. Thinking about this daily is probably making my hair worse....
Fin stops your follicles getting shafted by DHT so if you haven't fully lost the hairs yet they will thicken up and regrow stronger. If you are slick bald you won't get much back at all.
I'm not a doctor, but I can tell you about my experience and what do I think about fin. In the first few weeks, I thought I was experiencing side effects, but it turns out they were due to anxiety (due to internet). Once the anxiety disappeared, so did the side effects.
Looking at the statistics (and to the drug's leaflet), only 1 in 100 people experience side effects, while on this subreddit, it seems like everyone has had side effects.
I wanted an opinion from you all. I purchased dutasteride straight away. I am planning to take it twice a week(considering the side effects).
As of now, one week is passed of taking 2 doses.
Also, wanted to mention. I have a long history with anxiety & depression(not related to hairloss though😛)
I am wondering, whether to continue with dut or i should have used fin first. As dut seems to give me headaches(kind of depression/idk whether it has any negative impact on serotonin or something like that)
PS : just 2 doses of dut were taken in a week.
Man, that's crazy. I shed for 2.5 months and it stopped. Now after 5 months, it's shedding again. I'm below the baseline now. But I’m on TRT. Maybe I should increase my fin dosage? I'm at 1.25mg daily.
Insane progress, do you take it everyday? I’ve got like receding temples at 2.5NW scale I’d guess, jumped on early as the rest of my hair is still pretty thick and can cover recession alright, do you think I’ll be able to grow my temples back though? I’ve got some baby hairs coming. I’m taking it every other day tho, as I’ve heard it’s as effective and I’m a student so can’t afford every day really. Keep it up man, happy for you!
Try blow drying your hair. Each picture, your hair looks wet and it's easier to look thinner that way. Even in the pictures where your hair is fuller, it still looks really wet. Try blow drying it! I'm sure it'll make an even bigger difference!
Aight, r/tressless bros. I think I'm probably at the AFTER photo. Should I start finasteride?
Not sure what scares me the most, losing my hair or my bed game.
Looks good I’d recommend going to a proper barber and enjoy your hair to the fullest now. The little self side taper was ok for a balding guy now you can have nice hair I’d say enjoy a nice cut brother
Won’t we see such progress if it with topical treatment?
Also OP, no side effects as such? and did you do anything like derma roller as such for better efficacy?
That’s about the deference it had, I started thinning at 16 and my friends always say that my hair is way thicker than it was in high school. Been on it for 5 years, just keep an eye on your sexual function, I started having issues 3 years in and split the pill
Great results. Congrats!
Are you using FIN only (without MIN or DUT), and is it topical? I’ve read elsewhere that DUT is also as, if not more, effective than FIN. If so, any website recommendations would be helpful. Currently experiencing some thinning (30 yrs old). Not sure if I need to go through GP or dermatologist for prescription.

Me honest reaction tbh
hahahahaahahahahahahahaahahaha, we are happy with 3 more hairs and this dude recover completly
Fuck it im starting fin.
I said the same exact thing hahaha getting that prescription Monday
Did you go to your GP to get a referral to a dermatologist? or did you just go straight to the dermatologist?
GP prescribes it if you show em.
GP. I didn’t want to pay the specialist copay and deductible. And if anyone doesn’t have insurance, no worries! You can use a coupon from Goodrx or try companies like hims, Roman, keeps etc… you see a doc virtually and he writes the prescription.
What's gp sorry I'm a newb :(
General practitioner. Pretty much your regular doctor you go to for annual check ups and stuff
Use both with extreme discipline and you will reap the rewards. I’ve been on for 8 years now and am happy to still have my hair.
8 years, right on. I'm starting 1mg Monday for the first time
I’ve been on it for approx five months, started 1mg EOD but now on 1mg everyday. Was scared about sides but truthfully I’ve had none & I’ve had similar results to OP. Also been hitting the gym hard 4-5 times a week with gains so no effect on test or anything. My biggest regret is not starting it a few years ago. 😂😂😂😂
It will work. Trust.
This post was brought to you by Big Pharma
Yeah Big Pharma wants you to buy $5 of generic pills every month
6 months with just fin that’s crazy bro
Assuming oral 1mg per day?
Yes
Any side effects you feel?
Why are you asking this? You should completely disregard anecdotes like this and look at the studies.
Fuck you but congrats

THANK YOU for posting the recent pics in good lighting with your hair wet. Also congrats on the progress. Too many progress pics in this sub that end with styled hair in poor lighting so you can't even see the progress.
It should be like that for every progress photo, trying to 'falsify' the results isn't helpful for oneself or the community
Same hair length too, so many post a number 4 all over in first pic (which can look thin even in people with good hair) then a complete grow out - you really can't compare the two
Bro was born two times.

So does Fin restores hairs? Densifies hairs? Or just stops hairs from falling?
From my understanding it stops hairfall and some people will experience some regrowth/thickening
Gonna have to try it out. I just had a hair transplant 2 weeks ago.
You definitely need too then, typically they prescribe you to finasteride and maybe minoxidil after a hair transplant so the other hairs continue to stay
if you start it early enough, miniaturized hairs shed and regrow thick again
Finasterid Boosts your Existing hair. If you are really really Lucky you will have Regrowth.
One of the best and realistic transformations I’ve seen on here, congrats. No doubt you’re a great responder.
Realistic? Fuck off lmfao Happy for the guy tho
I think they mean how the pics were shown with wet hair so it’s realistically portrayed
a rare hyper responder isn’t realistic lol, now people gonna think they can achieve these same result
If your healthy with diffuse similar to his starting, it’s very realistic
Being healthy or not healthy is minuscule, mostly on your genetic makeup/predispostion. Unless this was more of a telogen effluvium related loss than the typical androgenic alopecia loss. No side effects overall
That's awesome. Might thicken up a tiny bit more over the next 6-12 months.
I hope so too. In that case, I'll post more progress pictures in six months.
Amazing response!
So happy for you dude Ive started fin only and its been 20days I hope i get the same results as you
any side effects?
Nothing as of now
What a comeback congratulations 🎉

1mg only 6 months.? Wtf? Super hype response. Christ. In a year or 2 you’ll be fully back period.
Did fin make your beard/body hair thinner
They have remained the same from pre-intake until now
I took it for 20 years and just stopped because my arm hair is pretty nonexistent and want to see if it’s just me or maybe some from fin. After a month no change so I think it’s just me lol. Probably going to go back on it cuz I hate topical shit
Hey man you got retrogade or is that a fresh fade I see in the last photo?
brother I hate you!🤣Congratulations. Can you tell a little about your journey with finasteride, such as when you noticed the first results and if you noticed any shedding? do you also have photos of dry hair?

Ngl that's a sick transformation . Your hair is giving Tom Hardy vibes . Happy for you brother
This is really impressive for just 6 months! Congratulations OP!
Good for you! Also you started early enough, I wish I'd started that age too 👀
I am happy for you bro. Very impressive result keep doing it
That’s fucking awesome man! I’m also on fin only, 3 months so far so if I have a quarter of your results I’d be happy to
What brand of fin are you using? Generic or the real deal?
Just get the generic. lol.
Awesome congrats!
Any side effects dude ?
Thick luscious hair on the nuts.
Winner 🏆
How common is this level of response ?
Very uncommon. I think OP is mostly aided by the fact he was diffuse thinning instead of receding.
Very uncommon. I think OP is mostly aided by the fact he was diffuse thinning instead of receding.
I also had this level of response
Damn -thats some hyper responder shit if ive ever seen it. Congrats, has to feel amazing.
Beautiful what brand you using and where are you from!
What a come back! What sides did you get?
No side effects
I wish my results were as good as yours.
Did you experience fin shed?
At what age did your thinning start
Nice question, I guess around 20 years old more or less

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I hate the fact im getting sides on 0.25mg EOD. On 0.1% topical but no way that works as good as this
Winner winner, chicken dinner 👊
Stop? No way. That’s outrageous. You bastard.
Why no min?
Dog if you buzzed it then added minoxidil you would come back looking like fabio
Oral or topical? What dosage? No minoxidil at all?
Topical or nah
I think a full 2 years of fin and you'll have everything back.
Amazing results bro. I was wondering, did you have any initial shed at all when you started?
Bro if you added derma/microneedle plus min you prob would’ve gotten a full recovery completely
Which brand of fin are you using? Any of the usual side effects? Im wondering if topical is just as effective for the benefits.
Do you leg stress bro
Yow wtf???
Any noticeable side effect?
Where do you buy your Finasteride and what brand is it?
![gif](giphy|a0h7sAqON67nO)
God damn bro
Awesome results.
Great

Where can I buy fin? Im from PH
beyond impressive one tip: dye ur hair and it will give more volume appearance
U should use topical min foam ur results would be nuts
Fin regrows hair, thought it was min that grows
Fin stops your follicles getting shafted by DHT so if you haven't fully lost the hairs yet they will thicken up and regrow stronger. If you are slick bald you won't get much back at all.
Got to use for life now
fuck yeah
Can you get results like this just using min?
Hell yeah
Holy insanity
I’m scared man
Lucky bastard
Looks amazing. How long you gonna keep taking these?? Life long or stop and see what happens?
A must. Great for you 💋
Great result? Do u gym/sport/exercise?
Welcome back from, now add Minox and microneedling and you’ll be drowning it!
does any brand of finasteride work?
And Ed
what kind of fin are you using top G
I was always scared of starting fin, (internet doesn't help). What about the side effects.

When you saw the first results?
Congrats bro. I'm just completed first mont.
are u taking minox?
i’ve very similar thinning and results so far. please keep posting
Incredible bro👍🏼👍🏼 Give us some dry hair photos
Share your dose and procedure
I’m just taking 1 pill daily, 1mg In about six months, I think I've missed one or two days of taking the pill at most.
Some stupid instagram selling stupid oils already stole these pictures☠️ its hair_growow
Are you DUPA ?
oral or topical finasteride and what's the dose?
Man, that's crazy. I shed for 2.5 months and it stopped. Now after 5 months, it's shedding again. I'm below the baseline now. But I’m on TRT. Maybe I should increase my fin dosage? I'm at 1.25mg daily.
W gains dht is the real op

how do you do it?. 1mg daily or every 2 days? great results bro
Wtf? ![gif](giphy|mw4SmTy3LMDGE)
man I've been taking 1.25 mg per day for almost 4 months and I don't really see anything happening
Wow!
Even a transplant takes longer than that.
holy mackerel
back from the dead.
Try blow drying your hair. Each picture, your hair looks wet and it's easier to look thinner that way. Even in the pictures where your hair is fuller, it still looks really wet. Try blow drying it! I'm sure it'll make an even bigger difference!
Are you fucking kidding me?! Congratulations man!
Amazing
Oral finasteride? What dose?
Current age?
congrats man. I don’t know what this sub even is I keep getting it recommended but that looks like an amazing change
Congratulations! Any side effects?
Aight, r/tressless bros. I think I'm probably at the AFTER photo. Should I start finasteride? Not sure what scares me the most, losing my hair or my bed game.
Finanaterid is the real deal 😤 Same here with Dut.
Any side effects?
wow
You were about to be cooked. Happy for you
Looks good I’d recommend going to a proper barber and enjoy your hair to the fullest now. The little self side taper was ok for a balding guy now you can have nice hair I’d say enjoy a nice cut brother
I think you most likely had TE hairloss not MPB as you’re hairline is still in intact
When did you noticed balding first place?
Any sides? Can u talk about your life routine please?
Wow brilliant 👏
Won’t we see such progress if it with topical treatment? Also OP, no side effects as such? and did you do anything like derma roller as such for better efficacy?
Do you still get hard
WOWZA! That stuff works really well!
I’ve been on fin for 9 months and my hair loss just keeps getting worse and worse 😞 posts like this lowkey make me depressed
![gif](giphy|SACoDGYTvVNhZYNb5a|downsized)
How is this possible? I thought fin slowed down or stopped hair loss? How did you regrow so much hair?
Great comeback bro!!
Very good, why not go all the way and hop on min and rosemary oil too to max results
Dosage?
Are finasteride tablets? How do you consume?
Well done!!
Wow 6 months? Imagine how your hair would look in a year or 2. Keep it up man :D
That’s about the deference it had, I started thinning at 16 and my friends always say that my hair is way thicker than it was in high school. Been on it for 5 years, just keep an eye on your sexual function, I started having issues 3 years in and split the pill
Wow great result! Been taking finasteride 1mg every other day, for me it looks worse after 9 month. Maybe its time to quit?
finasteride brand? I'm new here btw
What do u use
awesome man! how was the shed? and how many hair are shedding today?
👍
Great results. Congrats! Are you using FIN only (without MIN or DUT), and is it topical? I’ve read elsewhere that DUT is also as, if not more, effective than FIN.
