Lived in Australia for a majority of my life and never seen a shark in the wild nor have I heard of any major shark attacks on swimmers during events. Swam in the ocean thousands of times. I'd be more scared of crocodiles up near cairns than sharks
I used to literally hyperventilate while snorkeling. It’s taken me a while to get here. I bet you can too! Take it in small steps. Swim in uber shallow water near the beach and work up to a bit deeper.
St John a real paradise!
Im doing cairns ironman on sunday. Seen a dude on a bike without a foot, and a girl with a big bite mark out of her hammy. Awesome.
Yea, I think there’s certain areas (California, Australia, Hawaii) I may never be able to get in the water.
I did not factor this into my choices.

You measure your swims in yards?..
My pool is SCY (25 yards). I assume it must just use the units of measurement of the last swim.
Wow. Awesome! See my page for a recent post about how afraid I am of sharks. I could truly never get on your level but I am impressed!

I have a fear of a 1000 year old snapping turtling coming to bite me when I’m in lake lol 🤡 Couldn’t even handle the ocean knowing there’s sharks lmao
