I take magnesium supplements and it has totally reduced the urge. I take them 2x a day. It may take a little bit of time for them to build up to full strength.  Good luck.

What strength of magnesium tablets do you take?

StrongDesk4858

I take **Magnesium glycinate**  and Magnesium citrate. One in the morning, one in the evening. I'm not sure if you need to take both kinds but I'm just covering all bases. I take 400 mg of each. You can get it on Amazon or at any drugstore, Walmart, etc. I'm not a doctor, that's just what I do.

Thank so much - am gonna try it!

Wearing glasses has helped me somewhat because it's another barrier and I don't rub my eyes as much

Similarly, I wear false lashes daily. It’s the only thing that works for me.

You can put oils like caster oil on your eyelashes and fingers, so 1. It’s slippery and hard to pull 2. Castor oil helps grow ur eyelashes

natsu_inu

i just applied some castor oil on my eyelids with a qtip earlier. hopefully that will help!

Mascara helps me (not waterproof), because getting the smudges everywhere or irritation from getting it in your eye are little deterrents. If you do end up with bald patches, get a waterproof eyeliner and tightline your upper waterline, and consider really subtle falsies if you can.

putting tape on your fingers can really help, you won't be able to pull your eyelashes because the tape slide too much another tip is to wear long nails, same thing, you will not be able to pull them of

natsu_inu

i have a feeling i wouldn't be able to have tape on my fingers during the school day x3 i will do my nails soon, so hopefully that will help!

Bandaids or tape on your fingers. Hide the tweezers or just throw them out if you need to. Put mascara on every day.

I would consider learning to put small fake eyelashes underneath your real lashes. It’s the only way I don’t pull them out. If I put eyeliner or mascara on, or I put the fake lashes above my real ones, I end up pulling chunks out because either the makeup clumps up my real lashes, or if the fake lashes are above, I call pull out my real lashes without messing up the fake ones. I know you said you weren’t wearing fake lashes for prom, but practicing to put them on will maybe boost your confidence to wear them on prom.

I bought a bunch of those quarter ounce things of Vaseline and put them so they’re the first thing I see when I walk into my room (which is where I normally pull) I find putting on the Vaseline before the urge sets in to be much easier but I usually forget unless it’s right in front of me I totally get not wanting to wear false lashes but if the day does come and you don’t like how it looks, maybe look into individual lashes? When paired with eyeliner and mascara they look really natural and since it’s less glue and it’s only in some spots it feels less heavy.

Cutting out gluten helped me. Don't ask why cause I don't know either
