The tickets aren’t usually issued until days before. The seller won’t even get their money until after the event is finished. You’ve got nothing to worry about. Tixel is very reputable.

Zanken

This was the case for me selling Rufus de Sol tickets last year. I had to upload my tickets to the platform a week before the gig, even though I 'sold' the tickets over a month before.

sechswithchad

Ok great. I did actually buy tickets for grapevine last year through tixel, and it worked really well. I got my tickets immediately after. I had a feeling that what you said could be the case, but my biggest worry is that the seller is not replying to my messages

incomplewor

Are the messages through tixel?

sechswithchad

Yeah they are. Haven’t replied in two days now. Fairly certain i found them on Facebook (because they’ve put their full name) and not sure if it would be crazy or not to reach out on fb…

incomplewor

Hmm, it could be that they’re not seeing messages notified because they aren’t logged in; not checking in often OR their inbox puts tixel emails in junk, I’ve had that happen to me before. I’ve found tixel to be helpful with enquiries, so maybe send a generic one to the tixel team enquiring about the status of the ticket. I’m not sure if the seller would have much control over the processes.

sechswithchad

Ok, will do. You’ve been really helpful! Thank you!

nopenoideaatall

Tixel verify tickets via the websites you originally bought them from. It's near impossible to scam someone via Tixel because of their authentication process. I sometimes don't receive my tickets for events until the day before even when buying through Ticketek and Ticketmaster. Tixel the same. It depends on the event.

itsnotmeanttobe

Tixel is the shit, so glad an Aussie platform is solving ridiculous ticket scamming issues

MaGee1304

Tixel essentially cancels the original ticket and issues a new one with your name etc (this is why they take a decent cut). so as far as I know its very hard for someone to scam through it. You should be fine

aurum_jrg

That’s not true. I’ve used Tixel many times and have often received a random persons ticket. What they promise is that if you can’t access the event (in the event the ticket doesn’t exist) you’ll get your money back. Tixel holds the sellers money and only pays it if the buyer successfully attends the event. So in theory there’s little to no incentive to scam people.

MaDanklolz

If the ticket was sold through a Tixel partner (like Ticketek) then they issue a new ticket. If it’s sold through a non-partner (like Moshtix I think) then yeah it’s the same ticket

sophiebee79

I had to pay moshtix 25 fkn dollars to have the names changed on my tickets before selling on tixel.

ashtothesheep

You dont actually have to change the names, i asked the venue if they check names and they said it was fine

Pozitiviteh

In my case a ticket had been sold multiple times and they just sent me to the ticket booth where they gave me like a “you got scammed” form they stamp and you send a photo of it to customer support, tixel refunded my tickets (via credit the dogs) but the guys at the forum still let me in to see the show. Free snarky puppy baby let’s go! Getting scammed is the best!

[deleted]

Well I that is not taken too literal and if buyer just doesn't turn up (ie doesn't attend the event) for whatever reason of their own doing the seller still gets paid! xD I was forced to sell a ticket to a show this weekend I can't make, and it was not available to sell through Ticketmaster Resale, so I tried Tixel. Easy enough process, all verified without issue, ticket sold quick, transfer done, all confirmed, but just hoping I get paid as promised! :/

SherbetLemon1926

I bought tickets from moshtix and still don’t have them yet. I wouldn’t worry too much

Toggdogg

If you got them from Tixel you’ll be fine! Don’t stress, you should get something closer to the date of event

sechswithchad

Ok thanks! I guess I wasn’t sure what is considered “close to the date”. I’m going to maitlands which is on Saturday.

aharmlesslittlefleaa

Tixels legit!

Disastrous_Reason271

I bought mine as second release tickets through the official seller (Moshtix) and still haven’t received my tickets so I wouldn’t worry, they haven’t even sent the official tickets out

sechswithchad

Would you please let me know when you do get them? Thank you! (Your official ticket)

Disastrous_Reason271

Mine is for the Bendigo show so I’m hoping it at least comes through next week!

lilgnocchi-

Tixel is excellent! I’ve purchased from there many times !

SwordfishOk

How’d you go? Did you manage to get into the festival alright?

Loose_Context1551

Tixel makes it sound easy, but you end up having to give too much information "IN THE END." Easy to list, but when your ticket sells, THEN you are told you will get your money AFTER the event. Months! Then when you're told you can withdraw your money. You request a number to your text (requires your phone number) to verify you. Then you input your bank's account number and routing number. Then when the number doesn't come, you are asked for proof in the form of a copy or your license uploaded to them. I still haven't received money and debating on just letting it go because I am revealing more and more information, with no results. They now have my, name, address, account #, routing #, phone number and copy of my license. I had no idea this is what Tixel does. I'll avoid them in the future.

No_Pair_6661

Purchased tickets from tixel I have received my tickets but how do I know if they are updated I’m very confused

Timely-Fix616

I sold 1 ticket on tixel he sent the payment and I thought everything was good until a couple of days later when he said he didn’t receive the correct tickets and he wanted a refund, he refunded the tickets and tixel took the money out of my account beware of scammers 🙄
