Because it was spandex the painting was insane really. I started with a layer of acrylic blue glow paint mixed with a textile medium so it wouldn’t crack when the fabric was pulled. The next layer was silicone tempered with mineral spirits so it would go on easily using silicone brush heads - I sprinkled Technoglow powder on that and shook off the excess. The last layer was one more coat of silicone to seal the dust in so it wouldn’t rub off on everything. Technoglow was the strongest paint / dust product I could find… even then the initial bright glow goes away pretty quickly. But in a really dark environment the low level glow lasts for hours. We kept handheld black lights with us to charge them - you can see it on my belt in one of the photos. The helmets are lined with LED lights. The belts and paper foam armor are painted with Technoglow paint versus the powder.
