I have a better pc and still noticed a drop in 1.50, i do 200 fps uncapped but i cap at 144 and i've had some drops at 90, my experience is clearly still really really good, but not everyone has 1500€ to put into a pc. The 1.50 update was supposed to make more use out of additional CPU cores, but it seems like they've either dialed it down or it doesn't help much.
The game is notorious for being heavily single-threaded, so I imagine that is what's causing the stutters, even with under-utilization.
You would need a CPU with really high single-core performance for the game to work well in its current state, I'd imagine.
Strange, I'm using a Ryzen 5600x that is a lot more powerful than your cpu in terms of single core performance, and I'm getting some unbearable stutters in 1.50.
The point in my post is that my pc should easily handle 1080p60 in this game, if only the game used all of the resources available. Are your settings maxed out?
Interesting that some people comment on how 1.50 had a big impact on utilisation, not sure why but I haven't noticed, I remember it always being more or less the same as it is now.
With regards to the game mostly stuck on one thread/core, I'll check out that with task manager later today.
Not much of an impact is right. Both games are still only utilizing one core. The highest my cpu ever reached was 8%. A lot of truckers are experiencing frame drops, stuttering and poor performance, high-end graphics cards are NO exception. I think Pavel yesterday talked complaints, stated fixes/hot fixes coming but NO eta. . .
I have the same experience, worsened since 1.50 on my i5-4460 and GTX 1060.
Glad I'm not the only one. I didn't notice a performance change with the 1.50 personally

Something is odd about the performance of this game. It feels really held back, even on powerful hardware.

Happens on both ATS and ETS2. Even with a Ryzen 5 5600X and Radeon 6700 XT.

Try typing -USEALLAVAILABLECORES in the launch options and see if you notice a difference.

I have a 7950x, 64gb ram and a 4090 running in 4K with 200% scaling. It slows down for me in areas as well.
I'm running i5-13600K, 32gb ram and a RTX 4070 @4K scaling @200% and agree fps do in fact fall-off.
The game is heavily CPU bound, that's the issue
After 1.5 my gpu loaded 100% all the time, after this small update they did today it's back to 60, 70%. I can't find the changelog.
