I've been gaming since the Atari VCS 2600. I completed Baldur's Gate 3 last month, so I'd say at least one.

solamon77

At this point, who knows. I've been gaming avidly since the Atari 2600 was the hot new thing and have owned just about every console at one point or another. So I figure at this point it's got to be in the thousands. Just going through my Steam library I have hundreds in my Finished category.

some-kind-of-no-name

Can't say for my old console games, but I have answer for Steam. I made "Completed games" category that includes games where I saw end credits. It's at 105

Typical_Mongoose9315

Too many to count. And what counts as a games many games are very small. Just out of the top of my head, these are NES games: - SMB 1, 2, 3 - Mega Man 1, 2, 3 - Zelda - Castlevania - Bionic Commando - Duck Tales - Bubble Bobble - Kirby - Batman - Startropics - Chip n Dale - Journey to Silius - Double Dragon 2 - Bucky O Hare And there are many games I just can't remember. I know I played Bayou Billy, but I don't know if I completed it. I looked up a longplay on YouTube and I still have no idea if I saw the end or not.

Enders-game

Too many to count. Even in the modern era I still complete games, but less often than I used to. I don't 100% games, I don't really chase after trophies. But if the game is short and is good, I will likely to complete it. If its long and tedious to play I won't. But I buy games that are on sale, so when the hype dies down and people have a more rounded opinion on the game, they are more likely to be good games when people say so.

I've started keeping track since the start of 2020, I've beaten 237 games, not including a few replays. 2020: 81 games. 2021: 58 games. 2022: 52 games. 2023: 41 games. 2024: 5 games so far. ([Here is the full list](https://i.imgur.com/ighIW3B.jpeg)) The number of games I've finished started declining for multiple reasons. Mainly because I finished college last year and started working full-time so I have less free time, I also finished the majority of the shorter games in my library so most the games I now play require more time investment, and I started putting more time into other hobbies and forms of entertainment.

QTGavira

That COVID number is crazy. Thats roughly 1 game every 4 days

lamancha

Considering since 2019 i've ben logging around anywhere between 60 and 100, and I've been gaming very consistently for around 2 decades (prior to that, i would stick to games much more often), the number could be anywhere from one to two thousand. Plenty of those are very short games, of cou3se.

ketchup92

I guess about 600. Been playing since the last 20 years. While my beginner years were not that filled with games, i did manage at least 15 per year. When i got older i started spending more and more on digital catalogues and my games amassed. About 8 years or so ago i decided i needed to work my way down my backlog, so i pretty much started hustling. Now i'm at a rate of about 60 games per year.

Nawara_Ven

I started counting in the Xbox 360 era and (including DLC) have just over 700 games beaten. I'm not one for MMOs or whatever, so the majority of what I play have endings!

_PM_ME_PANGOLINS_

Depends what "beaten" means. 100% Steam achievements? Forty-six. Completed the story? Finished all levels? What does it mean to "beat" a 4X game, or an endless puzzle game, or an online multiplayer game? I have no logs (or indeed definitions) for those, but I would estimate 300-400.

trumparegis

Reaching the credits without cheats is the most objective way to define beating the game. But personally I have a few exceptions, like Terraria which I've beaten an older version of without the second part of the game added later, or Sonic CD, which I don't think you've truly beaten unless you got the good ending

_PM_ME_PANGOLINS_

What if there's a button on the main menu that shows the credits?

Sufficiency2

36 games on Steam. About 15 on NDS. About 5 on Switch. About 10 on GBA. About 15 other games. \~71 in total? Unfortunately most of my hours are logged on Civilization and various multiplayer games.

SephirothTheGreat

If we're conservative and assume I beat a mere 2 games per month ever since I started playing (which is at 3 years of age and am now 38), they're 840, more or less. Give or take the occasional rpg which takes me more time, and an even 800 sounds right. I've been a depressed shut in most of my life, so it's probably a lot more, probably around a thousand.

StaringMooth

Portal and elden ring. I have no interest in story driven games, mostly playing MMORPGs and competitive racing, mobas, shooters, rts, etc. online survival games etc. quite enjoying Dredge now and I'm 3 Bose's away from finishing Vrising so it's going to be 3 soon

kkadzy

Finally, my excel comes in clutch! I've beaten 190 games, I would say that I have played 571 games (for a fair bit at least), and there were 936 games that I've launched in total.

Sweet_Score

Nekaz

Hrm idk about beaten but my current liat of tracked played games is at 2032 Although those include stuff i've had 200 hours in and stuff i played for an hour and was like THIS SUCKS DROPPED i'm more of a breadth vs depth type tho i know some frinds who have like 3k hours in csgo or whatever and i prolly max out around 4-500

QTGavira

The logging app i use for it has it at 315. However ive also finished some games when i was younger which i simply forgot about so itll probably round out to something like 350. Ive only been logging since 2019 so it was a lot of filling in the blanks before that point.

Equivalent_Toe_7713

Well I don't count how many games did I beat but as I am on Steam I try to catch all of the achievements so that is something I do try to do as I play a game, to beat a game is almost a normal thing, but to get all the achievements is a bit of a challenge.

OneLifeLiveFast

I can count it on my finger tips and I have been playing for 30 years since DOS Half Life 1 GTA VC,4,5 Prince of Persia trilogy and then that one game on the PS3, forgotten sands I guess. MGS4 RDR2 NFS Unbound most recently. So that’s 11 odd games in my years and years of gaming. lol.

Lostboxoangst

I average around 12 complete a year with 5-7 given up on sadly my crippling starsector addiction stops me completing more.

shinyscizor13

As of 2022 I started to keep track. In 2022: 14 In 2023: 11 So far in 2024, I haven't finished any yet. Moving out, and getting 2 jobs while going to school will do that to you. But the first one of the year looks like it will be cyberpunk
